I first heard about this piece of work on 12tepRadio.com. It is simply awesome! There are very few pieces of high quality work in the "Modern Recovery" genre available. From the driving southern rock of Hal Ketchums "Unforgiven", to the poignant story of "Sam Stone" by John Prine, to the clever twist in T. Ghaham Brown's "Wine Into Water", to the freedom described by Travis Tritt in "No More Looking Over My Shoulder", this compilation of great performers and great material is one of the best CDs I've ever heard. This CD belongs on everybody's top 10.

SHARE - SONGS FOR HOPE AWARENESS AND RECOVERY, August 26, 2003
This review is from: Share: Songs of Hope Awareness & Recovery (Audio CD)
This is a great album. I cannot believe nobody had ever thought of putting together an album about drinking and drugging songs in Nashville. The lead cut, WHEN LOVE RULES THE WORLD, is totally infectious. I can't get it out of my head. Good words we need to hear today. I know the money that is made from sales of this album goes to help addicted folks. That in itself is a PLATINUM idea.

Great CD for Recovering People and people who need it., August 26, 2003
This review is from: Share: Songs of Hope Awareness & Recovery (Audio CD)
This is a wonderful album which is raising funds to help people with Alcohol and Drug Abuse problems. It includes great country and folk songs about drinking and drug use, and puts them together in a way that shows the pain of the disease, and the possibility for finding a better way of life. It includes John Prine's Sam Stone, a new recording of The Needle and the Damage Done, from Grammy winner Ashley Cleveland, T. Graham Brown's Wine Into Water, and George Jones' Choices. The best thing on there is the new song When Love Rules The World, with various artists on it including Martina McBride, Kathy Mattea, Mark Wills, Collin Raye and a bunch more. It's a very touching album, with great songs, very interesting liner notes, and is raising money for an important cause. I highly recommend it.
