I'm an analytic, so I'd rather not guesstimate the pressure or futz around when I'm troubleshooting a problem. This product is solidly built, does what its supposed to do, and appeals to my sense of order.

This is probably the highest quality pressure cleaner gauge you'll find. Amazon has the best price on it anywhere. The quick connect is high quality and smooth every time. Every pressure cleaner should have one of these standard. Highly recommended.

This is a very high quality gauge and fitting. In addition to seeing your regulator setting, it is a good diagnostic tool. The top of the gauge has a small rubber plug that the label instructs you to cut the tip of it off so that the gauge can vent. Once the tip is cut to vent the gauge, the glycerin will drip out if the gauge is not up right. Update 6/29/13; just as a suggestion, you may want to try using the gauge without venting it?

This should come standard on every pressure washer. My Dewalt pressure washer can produce up to 4200 psi but I don't always need that much pressure. I can adjust my output and verify it with the Shark gauge.

FYI: it took me a long time to realize that the other reviewers name was "not impressed" and that is not he does like the gauge in his review.

I AM impressed.
Doesn't bounce/ leak/ make noise. Just works.
Very nice when building your own pressure washer and trying to determine nozzle sizes.

Seems to be a high-quality gauge, the only thing to note is that there may be Air in the gauge which would seem to be normal. mine had 1/3 air, yes seems like allot of air, and yes I topped mine off. Also, I would advise NOT cutting the black rubber air vent cap because when the gauge rotates downward the glycerin will tend to leak out.
* If you would like to top the gauge off, you can get Industrial glycerin from any industrial fluids supply, SEARCH for "Industrial Glycerin", and top off your gauge.
