Yes, I did just say that. Because this is the best vacuum ever. I don't want to say this vacuum changed my life, because that sounds incredibly pathetic, but it kind of did. I am pretty sure I have vacuumed more in the last month than I have in my entire life. I show it to people when they come to visit and give them demonstrations. Not kidding.
My husband saw his parents using it and when he came home from visiting them, the first thing we did was go out and buy this vacuum.
I was skeptical.
Every other vacuum I've ever encountered was heavy, awkward, inconvenient, tangly, frustrating, hard to store, and broke the minute you looked at it. It didn't matter what you spent on it--a lot or a little--it was still awful. I had given up on ever finding any vacuum that was not awful.
This vacuum is aptly named. I am "free" to pick it up at any time with no janky cord in my way! It doesn't cramp my "style" because it is easy-to-use and maneuver, and super light to carry around, even up and down stairs. It is very "sucky"! I can't believe all the stuff I clean out of the bagless bag (which is effortless to clean out, just unclip it from the vacuum and then open the compartment and dump everything in it into the trash--so easy!!) each time I run it through the house. The charge lasts quite a while. We have a three bedroom home with both carpet and non-carpet floors, and I can do a quick vacuum of the whole house on a single charge. The charging stand is sleek and does not get in the way, whether or not the vacuum is on it. My husband and I both have long hair and we have several cats, but it's easy to cut off any hair that gathers around the roller--no unscrewing things or wrangling with taking things apart--and it gathers cat hair like you wouldn't believe. I use it daily to keep the kitchen crumb-free and around the areas of our cats' litterboxes and food dishes, and every few days around the whole house.
We still have a super intense vacuum for occasional "deep vacuuming," but on a daily/weekly/casual basis, this vacuum is the bomb (yes, I also just said that), especially because it is such a good price. We paid $100 for ours and have said numerous times that it's the best $100 we've ever spent.
The only thing I wish is that I could vacuum my furniture with it. I might be able to and just don't know it; I haven't really looked at accessories yet.
I'd better go! I'm sure there's a crumb on the kitchen floor that needs the attention of me and my awesome Shark Navigator Freestyle. *flies away, cape billowing out behind her*
Edit 5/26/14 - I have an update that I thought I should share with everyone. Sadly, my beloved vacuum died a tragic death a few weeks ago while we were on vacation. Since the last person to use it was our housesitter, I do not know the exact circumstances of its death, but I mourned. I wanted to say, though, that this in no way diminished my love of this vacuum. No vacuum lasts forever, and this one lasted for eight months with near daily use. To replace it, we tried another, more expensive, swankier cordless stick vacuum and it was truly awful (check my other reviews if you want to know which one it was). We returned that one, and I came right here and ordered another of this one. I used it this morning, and all is right with the world again. Best vacuum ever and at $100 it's a steal. I shall never stray from it again!! Honestly, I am thinking of buying a spare of this vacuum in case they decide to stop making it.

I bought this for my mother at Bed, Bath and Beyond. REGULAR PRICE IS $99.99 THERE!!! Use a 20% off coupon and get it for $79.99. I then bought one for myself, an elderly neighbor and my mother-in-law. We ALL love this little vacuum.

I've owned this for one year, and here's what's good about it. I've owned many stick vacs, and I was pretty loyal to swifter vac....cheap and reliable. However, I wanted one to do my kitchen mats and entry rugs too. This shark vac is great. First off, unlike most cordless vacs, this one you can leave charging 24/7 and it doesn't ruin the battery. This one has a little "docking station" that the wheels sit on to charge. Takes up almost no space. Second, I have a lab who sheds like crazy, plus 1800 sqft of all tile....I can do the whole house without emptying canister and without running out of charge. The front is low profile and goes under console table, arm chairs, and couch. Thirdly, I can do my kitchen rugs and entry rugs with out sucking them up like my Dyson vac. The shark has two settings for rug and bare floor, you control the setting with your foot. The only reason it gets four instead of five stars is that it's not as maneuverable as I would like...doesn't really turn great, but that is by no means a deal breaker in my book. As for the other reviews...I think its important to be realistic about stick vacs. They are not real vacuums and this one will, by no means, handle regular pile carpet or thick wool area rugs. It gets the job done, has been reliable for a year at least, and out of the five stick vacs I've purchased over five years....this one is #1.

I am also in love with this vacuum!!! (My family is making jokes about vacuuming being my new addiction.) It's honestly a little disgusting to see how much stuff it continues to pick up on a daily basis and it makes me wonder if my old vacuum was actually cleaning anything at all in the past. I think I'm pulling dirt/hair out of the carpet that has been there for a long time. (My carpets also actually look newer again now that the nap is being restored.) I was so ecstatic about this vacuum that I bought another one for my mother (3 dogs and 3 cats, all indoors). She was amazed when it filled the dirt compartment in just a few minutes on a carpet that she had just vacuumed that day. It's an added bonus that it's cordless, holds a charge more than long enough for me to vacuum the entire house (3000+ sq ft), cleans carpet, hardwood AND tile and is lightweight enough to easily carry from one floor to the next. Compare prices before you buy. I bought ours at the local "big box" store (you know which one I mean - you have one, too) for $98 - not on sale. It's the best $100 I've spent for a very, very long time.

Lightweight but it does a bang up job on dog hair on tile and on carpet. It goes in places the regular vac can't or can't without a lot of effort. The only issue is the battery time. According to the manual that's 12 minutes on carpet speed, 17 minutes on bare floors. Then you need to charge 4-7 hours. Charging is effortless.
Update after several weeks - When you don't have to move furniture, drag a vac, plug and unplug, 17 minutes is plenty of time.

I've owned 4 of these vacuums. After a year or so, expect the hose inside base to break and unit becomes useless. This is not why so low rating. I recently did purchase my 5th one as I have loved my past ones when they did work. The new one (SV1106) had practically no power at all compared to earlier ones (SV1100). I returned and exchanged as I thought was just a defect. New one, same thing, no power compared to older model. Ultimately, I discovered Shark lowered the battery and motor from a 14 volt to a 10 volt without changing the packaging. Tricky, tricky Shark...
Although I did love my earlier freestyle, the new version (SV1106) doesn't cut the mustard, especially with animals. Disappoint, I had to return.
The Bottom Line: my first had led lights, then 14 volts w/o lights, now 10 volts no lights or power. Way to go Shark!

It was a great little vacuum when I first started using it -- lightweight but powerful; no cord to trip over; functioned well. I would have easily given it five stars. Now, nine months later, the roller brush just stops after a few seconds of being on, as if it is jammed, even though it isn't. Actually, it will continue to roll if it isn't actually touching anything like, you know, the carpet or any other flooring, but considering that its only purpose is to get dirt off the floor, and a functioning roller is a vital component of said purpose, it works without actually working. So, minus a star for that.
I called Shark customer service and was told that the terms of the warranty are that I can pay shipping both ways and wait up to several weeks for them to repair it, but they'll repair it for "free" [and what I'm supposed to vacuum with in the meantime, I don't know]; or I could buy a new one for a "reduced price" -- not even $15 less than the current full price on Amazon. So, minus a star for that.
I still might have been tempted to get it repaired, or replace it with a new one of the same type (because I did love how well it worked and how easy and light-weight it is), but it does jam up rather easily -- the suction hose is fairly narrow, and even not-so-large pieces can start a full clog. At first, it didn't seem like that big of a deal, but the more I used it, the more common the clogs seemed to be, and though the clogs were quickly cleaned out, it wasn't always easy to do (the entire handle has to be detached from the base, and the button that detaches it is sometimes difficult to push and/or when you push it, can pinch your fingers). So, minus a star for that.
All in all, it starts off as a great little vacuum, and as long as it functions, it's wonderful; but once it stops, you're basically outta luck. ~Kathy

The small hose inside broke after 9 months of use. Shark replaced this under warranty with a refurbished unit. This one was not the same model but seemed to work ok. After 3 months of use on the replacement the small cheap plastic hose again broke inside. At this point the vacuum was done. No replacements after the 1st one, a year in and i just threw 120$ away. Was not used very heavily either, just on small area rug and wood floors. Do not recommend this to anyone, way overpriced for what you get. It did work well out of the box at first.

I loved this vacuum so much and recommended it to everyone I know. It is so good at picking up pet hair from hardwood floors and low carpet. Unfortunately, just 9 months after purchasing and using daily I noticed the roller brush was fairly worn out. I tried purchasing a replacement through my local independent vacuum store, and was told they don't carry it. The owner was apologetic, but told me that "Shark considers their projects disposable and that's why we don't carry them; it's a bad customer service model." Thinking that odd and wanting to verify for myself, I called Shark directly to order the replacement part - again, just a simple roller brush - and was told they don't offer it for individual sale. Instead they offer the entire lower 'nozzle' for $59.99. That's more than half the cost of a new one. The roller brush is completely and easily removable. The only reason not to sell it separately is to milk money from customers and fill landfills. I told them no thanks, but this will be the last Shark product I order until their business model changes. Am looking at the dirt devil air cordless to replace it.

I just bought this today, based in all these reviews (and reviews and research on SO many other cordless "stick" vacuums), at Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon so it was $84 with tax! Anyways...so far I love it, and here were my have-to things I wanted in a vacuum, & how it does!
Tile Floors (with grout) & Wood Flooring (our whole house) - amazing, amazing amazing...everything from a sticky raisin, to tiny short-haired dog hair, to fresh cut grass dragged in...even in the grout lines: CLEAN!
Pet Hair - we have a rottie hound mix, so plenty of that short hair that "dusts" everything with itself (including our area rugs - low pile, chenille, & medium pile) and one click of the foot and voila - PET HAIR GONE!!! 😳
Edges - had to have a vacuum that got the edges of the floors & walls and his one does it GREAT both head-on and from the side (as in, if you vacuum straight into a floor/wall area, or run the vacuum along the wall from the side)!!!
Maneuverability - awesome...it twists without effort, and the wheels roll very well so the push-pull is simple. It takes slightly more effort than a cheaper lightweight stick vac I had, but for this things performance I'll out a little muscle into it!...and I mean a LITTLE!
Noise - I have a 10mo old, and I vacuumed outside his room on hardwoods and didn't wake him...AMAZING.
Under Furniture/Attachments - this is where the 4 star came in for me instead of 5, and really it's nothing to do with it's performance, just style -- I iwsh it had a handle that would collapse and bend like some do, for reaching under furniture (couches, etc) and a detachable piece for hand-vacuuming things along the way (cushions or drapes etc) but alas it does not and oh well...for the amazing job it does at EVERYTHING else, it's forgivable!!!
