Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Michael Patrick O'Neill, age 44, is a professional award-winning wildlife photographer, author, and conservationist specializing in marine wildlife and environmental issues.
He lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and for the last 18 years has travelled extensively worldwide photographing diverse aquatic animals, habitats and man's impact on them. He has written and photographed seven, non-fiction marine life books designed to encourage school children to read, write and get involved in science and conservation, and has had the privilege of having presented to more than 100,000 people across the US in the last 8 years promoting a greater appreciation for the natural world, especially the oceans and their inhabitants.
Michael works with photo agents in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, and his photography is regularly licensed to the leading publishers in the field.
