Who Is It For?

Adults who want to read to children They will enjoy learning about sharks while educating and entertaining their kids.
Children 5-12 Kids will love the pictures and interesting information in this book. Both boys and girls will love it.

Some Facts From The Book

Fish skeletons are normally made of bones, but sharks have a skeleton made of cartilage (the same stuff that makes up the floppy top of your ears). Cartilage isn't as heavy as bone, but it's a lot more flexible and very strong.

Rather than being covered with scales like all the other fish in the sea, shark bodies are covered with denticles. They're similar to the smooth, flat scales that cover fish, but they're a lot sharper and look like tiny little teeth.

Sharks are some of the best hunters on the planet, and it's thanks to their excellent hearing. They can hear more sounds than the human ears, sounds that go very low. They can detect sounds as far as 700 feet away, and they use their ears to find the prey that they are going to make their dinner.
