The faring acts like an amphitheater projecting the sound to the rider.The hook up took me about four strait hours. I took the faring off and mounted the amp behind the gauges. The speakers are attached to the faring mounting bracket.I ran the power wire under the tank to the battery. I spiced the "hot" side of the power wire and hooked up a toggle switch so the amp wouldn't drain my battery( The amp always draws power to run a clock that is built into the amp.)After making all the connections and testing it I covered the buttons and terminals with a thin layer of a flexible silicone sealant to prevent water from getting inside the amp. Purchased system for my husbands birthday. He says "System sounds great and is well worth the money". The only catch was I didn't know it did not come with handlebar clamps so I had to wait an additional week before I could hook it up on the Harley to enjoy the sound. ZZ Top and Sammy Hagar never sounded so good going down the hwy at 75mph.

I read all the reviews and was on the fence, so I purchased the radio. Install was about three and a half hours with a few glasses of wine.... May have took only two hours without the wine, don't know.. I have a heavy chrome bike so the speakers complimented my handlebar set up nicely and I read the first review and the lady mentioned speaker clamps not coming with the kit, so I purchased clamps from Gooddeals as well. Thanks C. Harrelson for your post. Both shipped fast, so little wait. I installed the amp inside my saddlebag with little issues. When I turned it on, it sounded like crap. The speakers were terribly distorted, so I hooked up an external walkman to the AUX port and the speakers sounded awesome, crystal clear and with a little base in there. So... the built in radio is crap but if you hook something to it using the auxiliary port then you will be happy for the most part. I was. I went for a ride and as long as you keep your auxiliary device volume at 50%, you can blast the handlebar speakers and they sound great even at 65 MPH. I have a windshield so don't know how it sounds without it. Ok, here is where I am today. I installed it three days ago and went for a few rides. I got up this morning and the amp was dead. not drain your battery dead but electronics gone bad dead. I have send Gooddeals and email asking for a fix and will update my post when I get resolution. Bottom line is it could be a good system but I think you are better off NOT trying to save money buying cheap foreign crap. Save up $300 and buy a real radio. RIDE HARD.......

I bought this system after a friend saw it on the internet, I watched several U-tube vids of installs and decided to give the $120 unit a try. I am very impressed
with the volume and punch this system has, my friend biught the "twisted Audio" unit for $600, he got hosed in my opinion. I can easily keep up with him in audio levels and quality.

If Shark could come up with a better mounting system and 2-way speakers this unit would get 6 stars. I copied another purchasers method of using 1 inch rifle scope mounts to attach speakers to my bars, worked perfectly. So do some preplanning and don't be afraid to buy this system.

I am going to by another unit and do a custom install on a Honda Pacific Coast bike for a friend of mine, ill post on U-tube the finished project.

I bought this set up and thought I was getting a new product...Nope. The amp was new but the speakers looked like someone tried to clean off mud and had streaks from attempted cleaning. Against my better judgement I thought I'd install them. After spending the afternoon routing wires and setting up I fired up the system and sounded ok. I'm a former DJ so audio is a big deal for me. Anyway, sound begins to distort after less than half way to full volume. The very next day a speaker blows. That blows. The speakers are not capable of handling the 50 watts. BTW, amp says 250, 150 is for a subwoofer, then 50 watts per side. After doing some research for a replacement speaker I learned from another site that the speakers are rated for 8 watts. What the hell? I saw the photos too. Needless to say I am now looking for speakers that can fit in the original case. I'll keep the amp though. Now if only I could wire a subwoofer on my motorcycle to make use of the unused 150 watts.

This a good system for the price. One speaker gives off a vibration with certain pitches. I was going to send that one speaker back but it doesn't happen often and don't want to rerun wires.Overall I am happy with the system. Install took no time at all. Brackets are mirror mounts and speakers look good which are easily heard at speeds up to 60 mph. Over that u really have to crank it up. good system for the price.

The install was easy on my 1600 Nomad. Took about 2 hours. Once I got the unit installed and tidy up the lose wiring and such it was time to hookup the Sandisk sansa fuze. The system sounds great. The speakers look good and modern with a bit of class. My only concern with this is the amp, it gets real hot. I have it in the windshield bag. I heard of some folk putting them in the side compartment, I would use caution if the side compartment is of plastic this amp might melt the plastic. This is my first day, hope this amp does not get any hotter. I noted on one youtube video a fellow cut holes in his amp box to keep it cool. I might end up doing just that..for now its in the leather windshield bag. I also odered the brackets for mounting on the handlebars but am returning them as i use my mirrows to mount the speakers on. Any of you that have the unit let me know if its normal for that amp to get so hot you cannot hold it in a hand.

I'm very happy with the product. I went through some trouble putting it on my bike but the seller was very cooperative and i was able to receive from them what i needed to mount the system. i had problems with one speaker, and they sent me another one. after all the aggrevation from installing the system to my bike, i'm very satisfied with the product and the price i paid for it. would definitely recommend this product :)

Great product for the money. Instal was a breeze and the chorme is outstanding. Customer service with Gooddeals18 is top notch.

I purchased this for my father. He likes the speaker set. And its rarely that he is satisfied. We are both lucky now :) The shark 250w motorcycle audio system W ' new 3" speakers are a good fit for his weekend rides. I did not hear anything negative from him. So, must be good!
