I bought this because I am obsessive about my floors and I used to vacuum every day. I wanted to be able to have the carpet look nice all the time without dragging out the big vacuum. This product works and meets my need. However, I bought it in March and it is now June and it seems a bit worn out. It was quiet and now it is loud. It sounds like it is breaking down....it doesnt hold a charge as long anymore but it still works. My baby is crawling now and it keeps all the little choking hazards up. I feel like it won't last much longer but I am thankful I have it right now.

Great, But Not For Long,

I bought the Shark Cordless Sweeper this summer and REALLY liked it! It is lightweight, quiet, swivels, and picks up dog hair better than our Rainbow sweeper. That is, it used to...when it worked. After about a 1 month of use (about a 8-10 uses) it began to get louder, like something was caught in the motor. It also began losing it's charge before 30 minutes of use. Now, after 2 months, it's really quiet. That's because it will no longer charge.
What a bummer! I REALLY liked how it used to pick up dog hair so easily off low-pile carpet and vinyl flooring.

While it worked it was very good.. unfortunately, the handle snapped off at the base when sweeping under a couch.. when I researched this, this is a common problem with this sweeper- I had read someone had called and was given a replacement unit b/c of the same problem. When I called they were quite unhelpful, rude and said I'd have to buy the part which would have been more money than what I payed for the unit.. They also make the Fantom vacuums which I had had also.. ended up throwing it away due an engineering defect causing it to clog very quickly - Next time I'll spend more money and get a unit that's more robust from different a company.

9 months and counting!,

I live in a small two bedroom apartment. It's just me, my girlfriend, and our two dogs. This sweeper is all we need to keep the floor looking great!
From the first day we used it, we loved it. It's very light, it's rechargeable (which is awesome!) and it does the job. When I'm finished using the Shark I always empty it, then turn it over and pull all the hairs/fluff out of the rollers. This is a very necessary thing to do, otherwise it will leave a few things on the floor. Things I love: *It's super light *No cords! *It picks up everything if the rollers are clean *It's rechargeable! *It's super easy to clean! *The swivel function, just a little flip of the wrist! I don't know about the other people that used this product, but I plan on buying another Shark when this one dies.

My son bought this for his dorm room. Used it 3 times and it will no longer charge. Walmart won't return it (3x for a boys dorm room is 3+months). Dead in the water.

I could do better with my HANDS,
This review is from: Shark Cordless Power Sweeper (Kitchen)
Well, I picked this up from a local office store and didn't bother reading any reviews or anything (I live off of amazon reviews) and must say.... It sucks!
Err, wait, no it doesn't.. I don't even think there is a vacuum in the thing. There are rotating brushes, yes, but no vacuum. On the down side, when I turn it off, it dumps crap all over the floor that I just vacuumed. As the title says, I could really just do better with my hands. |
