I recently purchased the 8" version of this monitor from [...] via Amazon (you can see my review for that one at that product page). I liked the monitor and was excited when I was able to make the touch screen functions work perfectly (my first touch screen attempt). Unfortunately, the 8" model I received had a couple of lines of dead pixels. Since I'm a perfectionist about my computer gear, I contacted the people at gooddeals18 about a replacement. However, since I liked the monitor so much (quality was good enough for my application) and since the touch screen worked perfectly, I decided to order the 10" version when I returned the 8" one (instead of requesting an exchange). Well, it was a great idea.

As with the 8" version, I received the 10" version the next day with expedited shipping. I live in New York, but nowhere near NYC where gooddeals18 is located (we're 45 minutes from the Canadian border). I found that everything was perfectly in order with this unit. It even came with an auto power outlet. I couldn't wait to set it up.

Okay, when you first set up the monitor, you'll have to make sure that you select the correct sync rate for the monitor. I found that Windows 7 wanted to "talk" to the monitor at 85 Hz. I simply had to go into my nVidia control panels and adjust the scan rate to 60 Hz and the monitor displayed correctly (BTW, Windows sees it as a 17" PnP monitor...no problem...works perfectly). In terms of color, the monitor is very good. It's not as good as my best HP monitors, but it's pretty good. And, the on-screen menus are easy to use when fine-tuning the contrast and brightness.

Okay, on to the touch screen. As with the 8" version, I went directly to [...] and downloaded the latest touch screen drivers. Again, after installing and running the setup application, the touch screen worked perfectly! I have never used a touch screen monitor before, but this was just a snap to setup (be sure to press down on the "target" firmly during the vendor's alignment program).

I'm using the monitor to display a simulated Garmin aviation GPS unit in my home flight simulator setup. I have to say that it is a blast. I can touch the "button" on the GPS on screen to activate approaches, find the nearest airport, and program routes. So, if you are looking for a small monitor with a good screen and touch capability, you should strongly consider this model. It is a good value for the money. We purchased both this and the new 8 inch Desktop TFT LCD Monitor w Touch Screen + VGA. Our choice was based on price alone because we are a start-up small company and every penny counts. We use these in product demos where the potential customers interact with our on-screen product walk-through. We prefer to use this larger monitor when we can although at some trade shows we must use the 8-inch due to the limited space we can buy at some shows. We found the usage of each to be excellent. The touch screen is highly accurate and readable. We have had to calibrate this 10.4 version from time to time but not the 8-inch but that's not a big deal. All we do is check to see if the touch is accurate when we fire it up and if not, we re-calibrate quickly. The value of this is excellent. Great buy, highly recommended.

I had to return the first one I bought because it arrived not packaged very well and the screen and electronics had broken away from the plastic casing. Returned it and got another one. I actually bought this to plug into my PDA, sometimes I use this while traveling so I don't have to carry my laptop, together with a bluetooth keyboard I can get my emails out and use skype etc, while in a place I can watch moves and the like without having a full laptop/netbook. At first I thought what I was looking at was a result of my PDA output. So I plugged it into my laptop and it was the same.The color reproduction was far from correct (overcast with blue/green) and this too was not constant it changed, so trying to change settings to correct for it is not a permanent solution. I only use it lightly for looking at emails and the odd web page. Strange solution I know, ( I will get a netbook next) but that does not change the fact that this is not up to scratch.

I'm delighted with this monitor. I've had no trouble with the picture quality and I really like the curvy shape of the base. After downloading the latest touch screen drivers, it worked perfectly! Very quick and easy to set up.

It's a fine size for small children who like to play games on a cellphone or PDA and it is ideal for travelling when a PDA screen is too small. I'm really happy with it and recommend it to anyone who needs something light-weight, reliable and easy to use.

I love this little compact touch monitor with both VGA and video inputs. The stand can be a bit fragile in mobile environments but on a stable desktop the touch interface is a nice feature.

Wow, you've gotta have good eyes to see what is on this screen! Luckily I got this for a touch screen panel for a program I was writing. The color is horrible though. The whole screen looks a little green and that makes it seem like you got a cheap monitor (which brings the look of the program down a notch). I think it does everything that it's suppose to do though.

Here's a massive bummer though -> I got the thing, installed the drivers using the disc on one PC then one of my kids made the disc disappear and for the life of me I cannot find the driver install disc to save my life (I've googled my brains out, too)! If anyone knows where you can find the driver for Windows XP, SP3 that would be wonderful! I need to get this little bugger up and running on a new PC but it doesn't see the monitor (won't let the touch screen part work, etc) and so I need that disc.

All n' all, I think it's okay. I'd never get another one of this brand again though and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This is an excellent monitor for use with a computer in a car. It is small so you can not see very small fonts and high detail. I use for high speed road racing and it is the perfect choice. I bought one then bought a second.

It is not a good choice for a desktop monitor

When I have received my desktop tft lcd monitor with touch screen, I tried to use it
it was impossible
There were very importants problems:
a) the monitor was broken : one third of the screen didn't works
b) it was impossible to download the driver of win xp from de cd
c) the input to 12 V of the monitor it was not the same that the cable (incredible!)

I re sent (from Argentina to USA!) the monitor to Gooddeals18
I'm waiting the news
I'm living a very bad experience with this product (and or with Gooddeals18)
