I've had this keyboard approximately two months now and at first it seemed rather nice. The software does let you fully customize this in a lot of ways. And the dedicated buttons all around the edges are nice.

Some of the keys were rather stiff to type at first but most of the keys loosened up after a few days of normal typing. I had to remove 4 of the keys and use a razor blade to shave off a bit of plastic underneath that was not molded correctly and was causing it to hang up and even lock in the down position. And the multiplication key on the ten key pad still does not press easy. The piece of plastic under the key where it mounts down into the space for it is warped so I can't correct it. Also the right shift key doesn't seem to work with normal typing pressure. I have to press harder on it than the left shift to get it to work.

Then just today I noticed seven of the keys already have the lettering being wiped off the keys. The manufacturer did not use good stickers on these keys at all. The last keyboard I had the lettering lasted twelve years. Two months seems rather short.

Overall I can't recommend this and would look for a different keyboard at replacement time, there's just been too many problems with quality on this item. Unfortunately replacement time is coming very soon based on how fast this keyboard is deteriorating.

Edited to add video review 11-02-2013, less than 8 months after purchase, and changed from two stars to one.

Final edit 02-02-2014. Finally had enough of this bad product. I tossed it in the trash where it belonged and bought a good dell multimedia keyboard. This one didn't even last one year before I couldn't read half the keys and several were non-functional. Can not recommend this product in any way.

This is a very good entry-level gaming keyboard. It is solid, sturdy, and registers keystrokes quickly. I can't say that I agree with most reviews that complain of the keyboard being loud. It really isn't any louder than other keyboards. It does come with the option to replace the W, A, S, D and arrow keys with blue rubberized ones (seeing as this is a gaming keyboard). While I really like this feature for games, it can be awkward for day-to-day typing (such as writing papers, e-mails, etc.).

The only major problem I have with this keyboard is the backspace key. It is small, the size of any other key. So, when I am a on a quick typing rant, I find myself typing "\\\\\\\\" before I realize my mistake. However, I have gotten used to it, but it still bugs me frequently.

All in all, this is a VERY good keyboard for the money, it is great for gaming, it has a nice profile, and all the multimedia keys work with Windows 7 and Windows 8 (have yet to test their effectiveness with Linux).

This is an excellent keyboard where you can switch around the keys to your specifications and there are also 20 other keys you can mess around with.
This keyboard is perfect for gaming, special apps such as photoshop, or even just for browsing the internet with crazy efficiency.
The body of the keyboard is nice and sturdy and it is very good looking with the platform as it is.
For under $50 this is an excellent choice. Also check out Cobra E-3lue High Precision Gaming Mouse with Side Control 1600dpi to complete the set.

Some of the special blue keys were broken (possibly due to shipping).
Initially I had some problems with some of the key combinations not working (Shift-T), but this was fixed by reinstalling the software for the keyword.
The LEDs in this are really bright, like it's painful to look at them. I ended up covering them with tape.

Other than that, I'm really enjoying this keyboard.
N-key rollover seems to work.
Remapping keys could probably be really useful to some people.

I was looking for an inexpensive entry-level gaming keyword.
That is what this is.

I am not a fan of mechanical keyboards, nor am I a big fan of backlit keyboards. But I just wanted something that looks different and had a wide range of customization options - this fit! Plus it is at a great price.
Soft to the touch, great to not only game on but to type with. The interchangeable keys are good and gives that extra grip. The entire keyboard is NOT BACKLIT, which is what I was wanting, but the Sharkoon symbol does light up and that gives it a extra little bonus.

One thing I do not like is the small backspace button. Still getting use to that...but other than that it is a nice keyboard!

I bought it to play world of warcraft. The extra buttons really help. Works perfectly. I would recommend this to others.

This is a really nice starter and cheap gaming keyboard. Perfect with a e-3lue Cobr Jr Gaming mouse. However the keyboard does not light up around the keys if you were wondering. Just the S and the caps, num lock, etc. the customization software is poor, it doesn't have the correct layout of the keyboard but if you don't care. Get this keyboard, it's nice!
