Good room size air conditioner
Bought it for a room of approximately 700 square feet. Installation was straightforward and took about 1 hour. Unit is heavy so I would definitely recommend having a second person to help. It has all the basic features I was looking for (energy efficiency, remote control, 3 fan speeds, energy saving mode, etc.) Most importantly, it cools the room quickly. Fan is...

LOUD!!!
Just installed the Sharp AFS120MX window air conditioner. Took me longer to figure out the controls than to install the conditioner. It is LOUD!!! For 12,000, the conditioner does not do a very good job of disbursing the cold air nor of cooling a room of under 400 square feet. I will definitely be returning this item.

By Most importantly, it cools the room quickly. Fan is somewhat noisy but tolerable. Not familiar with other brands for comparison.
