A feature called Personal Preference lets you set your favorite channels using the supplied remote control to customize your channel surfing (four programmable buttons for a total of 16 favorite channels). EZ Setup automatically sets TV channels to receive standard cable broadcasts, while TV-rating blocking technology lets you control programming to keep young eyes off mature content.
Other features include a universal-plus glow-in-the-dark remote (which operates TVs, VCRs, and most cable boxes, even in dimly lit rooms) and a view/sleep timer, which you can use to limit a child's viewing or to save energy by having the set power off after you've fallen asleep in front of it.
What's in the Box
TV, remote control, remote batteries, and user's manual.

Good TV for the price.,

This review is from: Sharp 25R-S100 25" TV (Black) (Electronics)
This TV was fuzzy when we got it, but SHARP paid for us to get it repaired, and now it works great for a low-end TV. It comes with a universal remote so you can control your cable box, DVD player, VCR and TV all with the same remote. The TV comes with several features such as closed captioning, sleep timer, and energy save. It also has AV inputs on the front and the back, which are useful when hooking up a DVD player and video game console. It is a good TV for a good price.

Sharp- but not to Bright...,

This TV by Sharp lasted about 3 hours until the blasted thing shut off. The power supply must be faulty as I tried the TV in several WORKING outlets, but stopped trying after detecting a burning smell and hum from the power supply. I even consulted the manual. I do not recommend this model of Sharp. Usually, companies use cheap power supplies to sell a cheap TV set. I guess you get what you pay for. I bought it at a BestBuy in CO for $169.99+ tax. I think I'll spend a little more and get something from Sony. I have 2 computers, a digital camcorder and a list of other stuff from Sony and never have had a problem with their brand.

Originally bought at Bestbuy.com last year. It's still working just fine. Have no problems at all so far. Makes an excellent second tv.
