I got a little more than 2 years out of my Sharp 30" HV2U. It was a great set while it lasted. The LCD display finally started giving out and I think that was due to the fact that many of the first Aquos LCD displays had issues.

I would recommend buying it new for under $2G but I caution anyone against buying it used/refurbished. Just spend the extra cash and, if you can, get the extended warranty too. It certainly helped me so that I didn't eat the whole cost of the unit when I had to have it fixed.

I've since upgraded to a much larger set but I was quite happy with the Sharp unit and would have hung on to it. They make a fine product but I don't think it's as good as Philips or Samsung LCD products.
