I am extremely happy with this unit. It is easy to use and works incredibly good.

It is the first microwave that I have had where you can use the microwave instructions on products WITHOUT having to "add time" to what it says. If the product says to microwave for 8 minutes that is all you need.

It was easy to set up: plug it in and set the time. Start microwaving. Only had to look at the operating manual to find out how to set the time and how to set power level (both easy to do).

Looks nice, no problem with reading the display.

One reviewer said they had a dead unit at first. This can happen with any product. Since the second one they received worked fine you shouldn't have to worry. Some microwaves (Cuisinart) are not designed right and don't ever work right, no matter how many times you replace them. This one does work right!

Not too many reviews yet but since the two on the site at the time I purchased this unit were both very positive overall I was confident I was making the right choice. And my choice was right.

The first microwave would not work. It would not respond to controls, would not spin and would not heat. Sharp support was very friendly, but could not do much over the phone. They suggested a local repair shop. Instead, I returned it to Amazon, which was unbelievably easy. The replacement had no issues whatsoever. Great packaging, nice design, gets the job done.

We had an over the range microwave but still bought this handsome black countertop microwave as a spare and tested it. The food really heats up good even only for 1 minute. It's very straight forward even a child can use it. I know for a fact the Sharp Microwave are built to last a long time that's why I bought this one. I'd highly recommend this product if you want a microwave that does its job well!!!

Got everything what I was expecting from it. It really does get the job done very efficiently. Had no issues whatsoever so far... and I would highly recommend this product for sure.

We've been looking for a new counter-top microwave since our 1.1 cu ft Kenmore started rusting out after we had it for about a year. We started to believe, based on all the reviews for various microwaves, that microwaves have become disposable appliances with an expected life of about a year.

We're about a month into owning this one and so far we are very pleased with it. It has a lot of useful features and has a "cheat sheet' listed on the front panel. I like that but my spouse does not (would prefer to see it inside the door of the oven like our old one).

The only reason we're giving this one 4 stars and not 5 stars is because the color is advertised as "black" but ours is a very dark, charcoal-like grey. Because we have all black appliances, it does stand out a little bit but clearly does not impact the functioning of the appliance.

We're hopeful this will last longer than the 12 months our last Kenmore microwave did. If we encounter any changes to this review, I'll try to update my post.

I couldn't believe that something more than the smallest microwave could be under $100, but here it is. 1100 watts, not 700. 1 cubic foot, not 0.66 or 0.7. It's a nice sleek black color and has the power you need. it's slightly larger than the small est microwaves, but unless you live in a box, it will fit nicely on your counter top.

The first unit did not display any numbers on the display panel but Amazon's return process worked very smoothly. The second unit just arrived and guess what ? The door was hanging off and screws were rattling around inside the microwave. I took photos because this amazes me and I would like to upload them but no opportunity. The box was not damaged. The microwave must have been made on a Friday afternoon before everyone left for the weekend. This was a gift for my daughter who lives in a second floor apartment so a hassle for her to take the package up and down each time. Only waiting for #3 because the packaging for #1 was thrown away before checking to see if it worked. Otherwise I would request a refund.

This microwave sure isn't the same quality as the 22year old Sharp that it replaced. Burned out in 4 months!

Working fine brand new. Heating power degraded gradually overtime. After 9 months, it is almost useless. Can not even heat up a cup of water 2 minutes at highest power setting. My previous microwave lasted over 10 years. Very disappointed.

microwave works fine, but they had a big sticker on the front door.
when I removed it, small sticky dots remained. I used goo gone on the sticky dots, and that removed the finish of the door. Looks worse.
