I don't know what else to say other that what my title reads.
We run a BBQ Cook Shack and do portable vending. All menu items are programed in, so even a 5th grader can do it. (LOL) Sorry 5th graders.
I hooked it up to the computer through the provided USB cable and used the free program available from their website. Had a learning curve to start, but then it worked flawlessly. Still working on the Quick Books (also free). Doing an old school accounting version along with it. Just to make sure I have everything programmed right.
To me this was not an expense, but a very wise investment. Time saver to say the least.

The key to successfully using this register is simply downloading the software for this item at sharpusa.com. Once you do that and follow along with the manual, basic programming should become easy from then on. I agree that the manual is quite confusing, however I found that learning and understanding all the functionalities were made much easier once I followed along with the software. This register allows you to do everything that you need to do in terms of keeping track of all purchases, adding a logo to the receipt along with your company contact information, adding dept's and plu's and on and on. It's great and it looks so nice and professional, and it's also very lightweight... not heavy at all. It's very quite and once programmed it allows you to run transactions really fast because you have less keys to press, it's great! I would highly recommend this cash register anyday, and am extremely happy with it!

Having never used an electronic cash register before, the manual was very "scary" to look at. But after reading the first 20 pages (basic programming) I finally got the hang of it and it worked like a champ. The A206 has everything my small business needs and should serve any small business that does not need a POS system. With the A206, a credit card/debit reader, a 2GH SD card, and a spreadsheet program, I run the complete financial operation of my business. The A206 is highly recommended by me and the low price I got at Amazon makes it a no brainer to keep your business running smoothly.
