Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Enjoy slim, stylish video images from Sharp's feature-packed, high-tech 15-inch LC-15E1UW Aquos screen. The monitor comes with a built-in cable TV tuner and measures less than three inches deep. Even when it's positioned near a window or other high-glare location, its proprietary Advanced Super View panel with black TFT antiglare coating makes it bright enough for you to view its brilliant colors with ease.

The LC-15E1UW is an Aquos E-series model, which means it has a sleek and minimalist style that's ideal for wall installations, with speakers on the bottom of the TV and a narrower body that's significantly narrower than other Sharp Aquos models have. It also includes a removable easel-style table stand. With wider horizontal and vertical viewing angles than most LCDs have and a built-in stand that tilts and swivels, the LC-15E1UW can be positioned at virtually any angle and you'll be assured of a clear picture. An image-inverting feature even makes it easy to flip the image upside-down or mirror it.

The set features component-video, composite-video, S-video for your DVD player, VCR, or gaming console, an RF antenna input for older VCRs and cable boxes, as well as a cable-ready, built-in 181-channel tuner. An electronic PLL tuner handles over-air reception of TV programming. The monitor's energy-efficient design consumes 60 percent less power than a conventional television with the same-size screen consumes.

Product Description

The AQUOS LC-15E1U with built-in cable TV tuner is less than 3"" deep with an elegant design and screen that measures 15"" diagonally. Equipped with proprietary Advanced Super View LCD panel, Image Inverter for Custom Installations, 170/170 Viewing Angle

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent TV for your Kitchen!, November 12, 2003
Excellent television! The picture is beautiful and it was a breeze to set up. From box to counter and we were watching tv in 5 minutes. We purchased this tv specifically for use in our kitchen and its perfect for that use. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for My Application, May 10, 2003
By A Customer
My Travel Trailer had a flip-up TV shelf in the Bedroom, but it stuck out of the wall so far when being used with a conventional 13" TV that
I kept hitting my head on it when I would make bed or up in the night.
The 15" Aquos is perfect and with mounting bracket I freed up my space. The Aquos TV has a wonderful picture and is the easiest
TV I have ever used. Would recommend this product for all, especially in RV applications or tight places.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy for analog cable or from refurbish retailers, May 5, 2005
I purchased the unit as a kitchen TV, which most people would use with basic analog cable (in my area HD or basic digital requires a cable box). Picture is good on high def and DVD signals, but poor on basic analog and digital cable with a quality signal. Fast images such as sports create a lot of artifacts and ghosting/smearing. Panasonic 15" units have the same tendencies. Surprisingly, the Sylvania 15" 6615LE has a far superior picture in this basic application at a lower price. To its credit, the Sharp is best-in-class with high viewing angles, but the two units are about equal from side viewing angles. Further, do not use Amazon refurbish retail partners if there's any chance you would need to return, unless you're ok with paying a ridiculaous 15% "restocking fee".
