This review is from: Sharp LC-32D6U Aquos 32-Inch HD-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV (Electronics)
I have now had the 32d6u for over 3 weeks and I wish I had been more thourough in my research. Just so others do not fall into the same trap couple of points:Good: 1. Good value. The sony bravia is better (slightly) but not worth the extra dollars 2. with some adjustments to the default settings the HD picture is awsome. Bad: 1. No PC support !! Why did they not state this in the manual or other literature. I was always under the impression I could connect my PC (DVI > HDMI). I get a picture but it has a green tint if the display is turned off and then on again. From other forums I find out that this is common issue and Sharp support have in return said they do not support pc connections with this model, you can try it and if it works your lucky. 2. They removed the Electronic Program Guide from this model which means if your going to use the digital tuner for cable input be prepared to key in values like 132.1 or 133.16 for your tuned channel ! I gave up and decided to go for the set box instead (which means i lose the hdmi input for the dvd player) 3. I have many PAL dvds which this set claims to support in the manual, but on the menu this option is greyed out !

This tv is great. It has two componants, one HDMI, and one RC(pc connection thing, not VGA), and some composet/s-video slots and one optical(audio) plug. And I heard there was a headphone jack, but I can't find it.The picture quality seems better than the other model I have. You can detach the speaker from the bottome of the HDTV, if you want to. The only problem I have with this tv is the fact that some of the screen gets cut off while in 720p and 1080i(some of my HUD for Ghost Recon, xbox 360, get's cut off). Oh well, not biggie. This TV is a must.

I bought a sharp lcd tv from j& r in new york last Jan, after a year and half, when powering on the tv, sometimes works, sometimes not. after unplug in, wait for a while and plug back, worked for a couple months. Send it to service center to checkup, was told that the lcd control board needs to be replaced. when request to get back the replaced lcd control board, was told that sharp does not give back the replaced board, it has to be shipped back, otherwise, you have to pay additional fee to get back the replaced board.. it's rather strange to hear such a lousy policy from any vendor..But, if you do want to get a sharp, better get a long long warranty..
