4.0 out of 5 stars NO analog audio output (not even a headphone jack)
This is a good all around HDTV in the 26" size-range that I had to have for my smallish entertainment cabinet. The DTV & HDTV picture quality (via Comcast Cable "out of the wall" no set-top box) is very good, particularly for the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars low volume of audio
This TV had very low volume even for a regular size bedroom. The spec said it have dual 5 watts output but I know it's volume is lower than my mono 3 watts 13 inch TV. I exchanged first set thinking maybe a defect, but the second set is same low audio. I have above average hearing still had hard time to hear. I returned for other brand which I have no problem what so...

This is a good all around HDTV in the 26" size-range that I had to have for my smallish entertainment cabinet. The DTV & HDTV picture quality (via Comcast Cable "out of the wall" no set-top box) is very good, particularly for the price.

My only BIG disappointment was the audio output options; the ONLY one available is a Digital Audio coaxial output. Since I'm using this as my primary TV, connected to a Home Theater system for improved audio, this is a major CON for me. The only way I can output analog audio is to route everything thru a clunky Cable set-top box (which I didn't otherwise want or need) that DOES have an analog output. Then I discovered that changing from "out of the wall" cable to the basic cable set-top box automatically converts all previously available digital TV signals back to analog!! Since I'm not willing to add to my already sky-high monthly cable bill to upgrade to all-HDTV programing & set-top box, I'll be moving this TV to a bedroom (where the TV speakers will be fine) and getting another brand that has all the audio and video inputs AND outputs that I need.

This a perfect example of not doing enough homework before a major purchase (which I really thought I had done). I verified all the new "hi-tech" connections, but the typical analog (left/right, red/white) audio output seemed so common that I didn't even think to check for it. I just assumed it would be there. Hope this helps someone else avoid an inconvenient and expensive oversight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great TV slow channel changing, August 30, 2008
This review is from: Sharp LC26SB24U 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV (Electronics)
This is overall a great TV for the money. But when you change channels it takes about 3 seconds to tune in. This can be annoying if you like to channel surf

5.0 out of 5 stars Great HDTV Option!!!, March 26, 2009
This review is from: Sharp LC26SB24U 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV (Electronics)
I dont know why there are others customer who says this is not a great tv, bad sound or bad reception. Actually, from every place where I watched the TV in my room, always there is a clear image, and that's nice because I have not to worry about where I have to sit myself to watch a movie or just a tv show.
Other thing is actually the Digital TV Broadcasting in US is poor even here in Miami, maybe all those customer who complained about the reception should get a cable o sattelite service.
For me this TV is working more than I expected, even sometime I have to turn the volume down because is too loud.
I hope this can help you, and if you TV is not working as you expected you can always return it where you bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharp LC26SB24U 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, December 23, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sharp LC26SB24U 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV (Electronics)
I personally own three HDTVs including an earlier model of this Sharp 26" set, so I feel like I am in a good position to compare and comment on them. I bought this for my elderly mom. Among the various 26" sets on the market I like this version of the Sharp the best; even better (and less expensive) than the Sharp Aquos.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, March 5, 2009
This review is from: Sharp LC26SB24U 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV (Electronics)
Bought the Sharp based on a gold box deal and so far it seems to be a good price. I have a home office and the tv is on all day and I really like it, no complaints. Picture quality and sound are good for the small room. Would buy it again but only for a small room since it is too small for a larger family room.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Deal, March 1, 2009

This is a very good TV for a medium-sized room. The picture quality is superb, and the sound quality and volume are quite adequate. After ordering from Amazon, the TV arrived very quickly. I found it easy to set up, with good clear instructions. I'm using the Sharp to watch DVDs, and so far (one month) it has been flawless. We sit about 8 to 10 feet from the TV, and this is a good size for that viewing distance; any larger, and I think it would have been too big for the room.
