4.0 out of 5 stars Great LCD/DVD Combo, September 12, 2007
This review is from: Sharp LC32DV22U 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built In DVD Player (Electronics)
I purchased 3 of the LC-32DV22U for bedrooms in a high end rental in Park City, UT and so far, they are great. The built in DVD is great and easiy to use, quality of the picture is ranks at the top of LCD's on the market, and HD looks great. I debated having a Sharp 32" LCD and a seperate DVD but I want to keep the electronics stupid proof in the rental. With the satelite TV, 2 remotes is plenty and a 3rd would only be one more piece of confusion for those non technical renters.

I searched high and low for reviews on the LC-32DV22U but could not find a one anywere on the internet. I believe Im the first.

I would recommend this product for any room in the house The all in one features makes it simple product and the quality is great. I purchased all 3 of these Sharp units at Costco They are on special w/coupon for $749.00

For the living room, I have a Panasonic TH-50PX77U. Also a great plasma.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple, works well, great picture, sound could be better, September 27, 2007
This review is from: Sharp LC32DV22U 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built In DVD Player (Electronics)
I purchased and installed this model a few days ago. I also purchased a wall bracket from Amazon and hung it on the wall within a 1/2 hour. This Sharp picture is great, DVD works quite simply by sticking a DVD in the side slot, but the sound out of the built in speakers could be better.

We have this in a small bedroom where the sound level will be adequate but even at max volume I found it not to be as loud as one might expect (perhaps it is just this one unit?). The quality of the speakers is also not up to par - but good enough. I expect most people who are purchasing this type of LCD with a built in DVD are doing what I'm doing; putting it somewhere like a small room where there is no other equipment like an A/V receiver and surround sound system. So the expectation is for good quality sound and sufficient volume. I have some external, self powered, speakers I could use but that would defeat the compact setup I desired.

All that said though it is adequate and I would still recommend this TV/DVD combination. The price was right, the TV isn't too heavy to handle when mounting it, and the remote is reasonably designed. I had the stand installed for a couple of days and it was quite stable although offers no tilt. I like the idea that it has HDMI, composite, component, and PC inputs so I can expand its use if I wish.

Saw this TV at a warehouse club (starts with "C"). Average picture. Not as good as the other non-DVD Sharp 32". Found out that this TV is made by Orion (Sansui) while the non-DVD 32" is made by Sharp.
