We have had microwave for over a month now. No problems yet. We use it on average 5-10 times a day, and it has been easy for everyone to learn how to use. The last one we had was also a Sharp that lasted a very long time.

We purchased this microwave to replace a very similar Sharp that we had for eight or ten years. It had begun malfunctioning by randomly stopping and by sometimes starting when the door was shut forcefully.

We use our microwave primarily for timed cooking and for reheating, and this oven is doing a fine job for those purposes. I have also used the sensor cooking successfully for chicken breasts.

I have not noticed that it is noisy as I believe some have complained, and I have no trouble hearing the end-of-cooking signal from several rooms away. We are totally satisfied with this microwave so far.

We received this product sooner than expected from Amazon, within 2 or 3 days of order. It heats more evenly and effectively than our previous microwave which was a Panasonic. We are especially pleased with the "sensor reheat" function which heats evenly to eating temperature and does not overheat food. At this writing we had only been using the product for one month, but so far we are completely satisfied.

I got a Sharp microwave to replace a 15 or 20 yr old one that pooped out. So far, so good. It has been used primarily for heating leftovers and steaming vegetables so I haven't given it a good workout in the month I've had it.

Amazon shipped it in a couple days even with the supersaver shipping (supposed to take 7-10 days).

If things go south, I'll be back with more comments.

My only concern was that I researched this quite a bit, using Consumer Reports and several other customer comment sites (including Amazon) but the reviews were so all over the place, I was frustrated in trying to find the PERFECT microwave, so I took a chance. Like I said, so far so good.

Its been about 15yrs since I had to purchase a microwave, so I'm hoping for an equally long run. After reading other reviews following delivery, I immediately inspected the package...Sharp has improved their packing & UPS has mitigated their clumsiness, no damage. Its been almost a month, so I may update my opinion if anything changes but thus far, loving it. I mostly reheat & defrost, leaving the real cooking to the stove/oven but perfect popcorn, hot coffee & occasional tv dinner. Good deal for the price.

We replaced our old microwave about a month ago for an updated model. This inexpensive microwave does all we needed PLUS many new features! Highly recommend!

We had previously had a 1.1 CF Sharp Carousel so there was little that changed in programming. We nearly doubled space so that was nice. The price was reasonable & Amazon had the item in stock (versus their competition who told us they would email us when available). This was my first appliance purchased @ Amazon & I would not hesitate in buying something else in the future. So all in all, I'm happy with what I got & have recommended buying appliances such as this from Amazon if it ever comes up for them.

My first microwave was a Sharp Carousel. After 22 years, it still was working well, but the display went wacky. So, I bought another, but larger version. Although the reviews were not stellar, I took a chance. What a disappointment. It's LOUDER,and the door opener is flimsy. Now, after ONE YEAR, the door opener pops the top hinge, but not the bottom. I am now looking for a new microwave. In the meantime, we have to press the door opener, and use our hand underneath the door to dislodge...sometimes, it takes a minute to do so!

Had almost 20 years with last Sharp microwave. This model R-520LW works well. Heats evenly, easy to clean, and many different options for cooking. Very happy.

...I received this item with no damage at all..and it came quickly. I like the size, the intuitive simplicity of the control panel. I think it is an excellent microwave for big and small jobs and for the price. Like others I especially like the sensor reheat feature. It is amazing to me how well it does the job. Have only had about a month, but I would recommend so far.
