Perfect for adding to limited shelf space, the uniquely designed Sharp Sharp SD-HX500 is an all-in-one surround sound receiver and DVD player that offers a slim, sophisticated design that can stand on its own or be wall-mounted. Its 1-Bit digital amplifiers incorporate a new sampling speed of 5.6 MHz which is 128 times faster than conventional CD technology. Other features include 500 watts of total power output, DTS, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II decoding, SACD and DVD-A compatibility, and an AM/FM tuner. This package does not include speakers. The sophisticated AV selector allows you to connect all your video sources and switches them for you automatically without having to switch inputs via the remote control.

The SDHX500 offers five pairs of sturdy binding posts, ready for Banana plugs, spade terminals, pin terminals or even bare wire. A coaxial subwoofer/LFE output is also included. The DVD player incorporates a unique single-disc mechanism that utilizes a motor-driven front panel that tilts forward while raising the disc for easy access. When closed, the disc lowers into playing position as the front panel moves back to seal out dust and contaminants. It provides the following connections:
