Two AA batteries power this little clock. It is easy to set (including the alarm), has big numbers, and the illumination button is up front and in a great position when you need to see what time it is. An A+ product for a little price.

This little clock is good for the money, but I didn't like the fact that I couldn't see the time during the night without having to fumble around to press the button.

It's a solid buy at eight bucks.
My only irritation is the alarm "on off" button is clustered on a multi-purpose slider switch. The alarm "on off" deserves its own, big button, since its a feature you use every night and every morning. Indeed, this is how most alarm clocks do it -- a big dedicate "on off" that you can visually confirm is set correctly. Why bury them most common task on a multi function button? It's easy to mis-set when you're groggy and that can be a real bummer if that makes you miss an early morning meeting.

Great clock, cheap, basic and reliable functions. Does not blind me with glowing numbers during the night. Simple push the snooze/light button and you can see the time as the blue backlight comes on for a few seconds. Great size display and very comfortable to set and deal with while half asleep. Nice design that does not fall over. It works with 2 AA batteries, so it is independent from any wall plug. Power outages are no issue. Small enough to take when travelling. Great buy, will get another one for my wife who wanted one after she saw the one I got.

I love this alarm clock!,

I bought this alarm clock over 2 years ago and I love it. I got it because I didn't have an available plug, so I needed a battery-operated model. It doesn't drain the batteries- in fact, I use my alarm clock 5x a week and I can't even remember the last time I had to put new batteries in it. Also, I would rate 5/5 for durability. More than a few times, I have accidentally knocked it off my night stand, and it is still going strong!

Perfect Alarm Clock,

I was looking for a clock that didn't light up my bedroom, was battery operated to avoid power outage problems, and was cheap. This little clock fit the bill perfectly and I've been using it for about a month with absolutely zero complaints. Easy to use, and you can't beat the price. Size is small enough that you can put this alarm clock just about anywhere. Alarm is plenty loud and the volume increases if you don't silence it right away. Snooze interval is 4 minutes, which is a bit shorter than I'm used to.

For less than $10 this alarm clock is a very good value. It does what it is suppose to except I found the product description a bit misleading. It indicates "titanium case" and I was hoping for at least some kind of thin metal coating but the unit is entirely plastic with silver spray paint. It also indicates that there is ascending alarm volume, something I was in search for when I purchased this alarm but that is also not true. The volume does not go from soft/quite to loud, the only thing that is ascending is the alarm frequency which goes from beep, pause, beep, to constant nonstop beep. The alarm is also very very loud and there is no option to adjust it.
The blue light up feature is similar to those wall socket plug-in night light which emits a bluish green glow. The entire unit is made out of very cheap plastic and poorly put together, you can see gaps where the plastic pieces meet and places where the silver spray paint did not cover. Overall a very cheaply made clock that functions well at a very reasonable price.

This one neat alarm clock. It's easy to use, has an unbelievable alarm that would wake up a sleeping giant, easy to use light/snooze button, runs on two AA cells and fits easily into travel bag. And it's inexpensive, too.Sharp SPC317A LCD Blue Backlight Alarm Clock with Titanium Case (Black)

This product was exactly what I was looking for to replace a similar clock. I've looked everywhere and couldn't find anything like this. I have a tiny nightstand and don't want to bother with electrical cords. Also, I"m nearsighted and this clock has big numerals that even I can read (when I hit the snooze button, it lights up the dial). I also like that the dial stays dark the rest of the time.

Exactly what we wanted,

For several years, I had a similar Timex clock that doubled as a travel clock, and I left it in some hotel. The Timex model is no longer manufactured, so, based on the features and customer reviews, I bought the Sharp SPC317A as a replacement. It is small, simple, tip-resistant, battery-run, with large numbers that are unlit until you press a button to light them. It's a nice size for a night stand and doesn't have a cord that might tangle with other cords or get in the way. Since I prefer a clock that doesn't glow constantly, I don't mind having to press the button to see the time, and the button is large and easy to find in the dark. This clock is exactly what I wanted, and I am absolutely satisfied and pleased with it. I've had it for more than a month and it has kept accurate time (to the second). I can't comment on the alarm features because I haven't used them yet, and I of course can't comment on its long-term durability.
