Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The affordable VC-A560U uses a four-head design that ensures smooth slow-motion play (forward and reverse) and clear still-frame images. Sharp's Super Picture feature enhances fine image details (especially on older tapes), and 19-micron Exact-Track heads ensure the clearest possible picture when viewing or recording in EP (extended-play) mode. The unit's rear panel features standard RF and composite-video input/output with monaural RCA audio input and output.

With EZ Set Up, all VCR tuner channels and clock are automatically set up for both air and cable channels. You can bypass previews and commercials with Skip Search, in which the VCR zooms forward in 30 second intervals. Did you miss a critical line of dialog? Instant Replay quickly performs reverse scanning in 20 second intervals, then resumes playback. Rewind speed is approximately 54 seconds with a T-120 tape (the speed may be slower for tapes other than T-60, T-90 or T-120).

If you'll be using the set at a trade show, its all-repeat function will come in especially handy, rewinding and replaying each tape as soon as it ends. Other features include a tamper-proof design to protect the unit from child intervention, Skip Search/Instant Replay, and Sharp Super Quasi Playback, which displays S-VHS cassettes, if only in standard VHS resolution.

What's in the Box
VCR, remote control, remote batteries, user's manual, RF coaxial cable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Has nice features, September 2, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Sharp VC-A560U 4-Head VCR (Electronics)
Although the vhs pales in comparisson with dvd, this vcr has some nice features. I really enjoyed not having to set the clock on my VCR and when the power went out, I didn't have to reset it. Also, the commercial skip is a nice perk.

No stereo, but a high-quality VCR. Makes a great 2nd or 3rd VCR for your home.

1.0 out of 5 stars It worked for a little while, November 30, 2003

This review is from: Sharp VC-A560U 4-Head VCR (Electronics)
I have owned many VCRs, this one worked for almost 2 months.
It was only used in a bedroom, never used to record only play.
for some reason now the picture does not project clear. The sound comes through but the picture is fuzzy. Its not the tracking or channel. Cannot figure out the problem. I have tried to disconnect and reconnect but still the same results. I would like to return this but no longer have the box.
