The 64-watt XL-DK227 leads Sharp's micro-audio system line. The model boasts iPod docks, providing playing and charging functions from a sleek pocket-style dock. Stealth single-tray CD players are compatible with multiple formats and music codes including CD-R/CD-RW, MP3 and WMA. Amplifier power provides 32 watts per channel for the XL-DK227. The AM/FM digital tuner offers 40-station random preset memory. Bass boost is provided by the X-BASS (Extra Bass) System.

FIVE STARS!
This is the only and best stereo system I've ever had! I have a predeccesor to this product (XL-UH242), it is the same, it just has a USB port instead of an Ipod dock.
PROS:
-5 disc changer!
-Little steel screens go in front of the speakers to protect them; they can be removed easily!
-Big o' honkin' Volume dial! Easy to grab.
-Very nice screen: it shows you the information about what you are playing and it is easy to read!
-Picks up FM and AM great!
-Headphone jack
-Line in on back; I am always using it!
-Subwoofer port on back! Awesome!
-X-BASS is really cool!
-Remote signals can be picked up from really good distance
-Plays WMA's! GREAT feature!
-It still works if you made your own CD
-Doesn't run hot
-Can set it to play stuff at certain time
-Shiny
-Good quality, the remote is great!

CONS:
-Short power cord
-CD takes a while to start playing
-Can't tune it, skip to certain tracks, or pause from the main unit; only on the remote(don't lose the remote!)
-USB doesn't work always, but that's okay

Overall, if you are looking for a stereo, this is probably your best option! Sharp is awesome anyways!

Excellent for small apartment, etc. Good 4 speaker sound [2 speakers each speaker box]and even a jack for surround sound type subwoofer Good power for such a small unit and price.

I have had the Sharp stereo for one month now. It is in my office. The system is compact and a perfect size for office use--but the sound is rich. I have an iPod Touch 2nd generation that I have not used with the system, yet (though it does charge perfectly on the system). The only drawback that I have discovered thus far is that the remote is needed to gain full function... lose that remote and you have a system where you are unable to change radio stations.
