Parkflyers Cessna 182 pro deluxe: I didnt know I was going to do this review so i didnt take any pics of how it looked in the box. It comes very nicely packaged and I personally dont see any big risks of damage in shipment. This plane comes RTF in that it comes with everything you need including the glue and to my surprise it included a fms flight simulator cd and cord to hook to the included 2.4ghz transmitter that hooks to your pc via the microphone in jack and works on windows except vista of course!! It includes four different instruction manuals one for Plane, radio, charger and flight sim., all very easy to follow. It also came with an extra prop and linkage clevises.

Assembly is very easy, takes about 15 minutes. I used 15 min epoxy instead of the included glue just a personal preference and epoxy gives you a little bit stronger bond. The only reason it took me this long is because i kept stopping to look at how scale this plane really is, right down to the wheelpants. I was very impressed in how nice it went together, had to make one little cut in the fuselage to get the tail gear on and this is mentioned in the instructions. I put on the landing gear and mounted the wing that is mounted using two screws. At this point i started looking for the location of the cg in the instructions, no mention of it. I made Mark at [...] aware of this and that will be taken care of. The CG is right on the wingspar/reinforcement just aft of the leading edge which is 1 1/4 inches back from leading edge. Thats the one and only miss on this rtf. Make sure to get your flying surfaces as level as possible before you attempt to fly, by adjusting the linkages. save your trim on your radio for in flight trims because the radio doesnt give you very much trim adjustment.
The only additional thing i did to mine was i put some reinforced packing tape on the leading edge of the main wing

Flight is very scale, this is one sweet flying rtf, i have to say one of the best ive ever had. The battery compartment is located under the fuselage right behind the motor its very easy access and no probs with the lipo moving around its a snug fit, battery compartment looks like it was made for the included lipo. Turn on your transmitter making sure you have the throttle all the way down and the trim knob. hook up the lipo close the battery door securing it with the two pivoting locks and your ready to fly, no having to take off the wing to change batteries is a very nice feature. The included 1200kv motor is more than enough power, this plane doesnt need an upgrade. The included motor is a very nice smooth powerful motor, turn the prop manually and you can feel the strength of the motor. The dual servo ailerons are very nice and give plenty of command on rolls and turns with no slop at all, i had no glitches!!!

Flight times are just as advertised, around 20 mins with proper throttle control. I was amazed, my first flight was on a new kinda rough ball diamond and it went airborne in about 12 feet it actually caught me off guard and i dumb thumbed it into a roll about 15 feet off the ground, so i finished out the accidental roll and went right into a loop the onlookers were impressed and so was I ! This plane has more than enough power the way it comes, i did inverted flight with very little radio input. You can fly this plane with a very low speed and it stays stable no stalls, so with some throttle management you could fly it in a small area, I was able to fly the bases around the ball diamond with no problems, and it looks so good doing it.
This planes landing gear is designed for a smooth runway, so if your gonna fly it on grass take them off and it hand launches very nicely and belly lands with no problem.

The parkflyers cessna 182 pro is a great rc plane for anybody. From a beginner with some sim time or an instructor to assist or a pilot whose looking for their first 4 channel to the experienced pilot who wants a scale rtf that does everything thing its claimed to do plus some. You wont be dissapointed in this one or dealing with the folks at parkflyers. The reason i wrote this review is the fact that ive dealt with them several times now and have been more than satisfied. If you have a problem i have no doubts parkflyers will help you out.

For the beginner, make sure to hook your elevator and aileron linkages to the middle hole, this plane is very responsive and you could very easily over control it !!!! put the rudder linkage to the outermost hole so you have some on ground steering control, the landing gear is fixed so it takes a bit to make it turn on the ground, which is one thing im doing to mine is making the nose gear steerable, but its not necessary to do this. If you bend the landing gear, which you will, take it out of the plane before you try to bend it back or you might break out the supports.

At first i started with the Begin Air from Parkflyers RC, and then when i crashed this plane i fixed it with elmer's glue and packing tap (it was really easy to fix). After i got the hang of flying in circles it started to be a real hobby for me and i decided i wanted to step up a notch and start doing tricks. So i got the Cessna 182 pro deluxe trainer rtf. When i got this plane i was surprised by its scale look and attention to detail. When i got to the field to fly it the Himag motor, 2.4 ghz Radio, and dual servos all worked very good together, and i had a wonderful time flying it. The trainer CD that came with the Cessna 182 helped me do twists, loops, and even barrel rolls to the point where i moved on to the daredevil.
-i chose parkflyers rc because they have a select variety of planes from novice to expert and theTeam from Parkflyers really helped me through every step of this hobby.

Would this be another Christmas present that collected dust in the garage? It seemed that way until I consulted on the phone with the folks at Parkflyers. It was like calling in to Cartalk, they were able to diagnose my problem almost immediately and sent out replacement parts the same day.

This plane comes with a simulator that my son used a bunch before flying. I cross wired the ailerons and the first flight off the ground ended up in a positive feedback loop. The motor smelled terrible and spun fast, but no longer with enough torque to fly. When I called the company they had four suggestions and three of them were immediately applicable. We are up and flying and the plane is very robust. Most of the landings are into grass and end up flipping up onto the nose. Cut the power at the end of the flight (one of the three helpful suggestions) and you should be okay. After 20 landings, the plane is still solid.

Got this for a grandson who was tired of 3-channel r/c planes. Arrived well-packaged and in quick time. Had a wing servo that was bad and was immediately replaced. Plane has provided great entertainment. Very impressed with product and provider!

i purchased this plane to learn how to fly it is good but little hard to assembling when you fly with this plane you will feel the fun but do not fly a big distance that make you do not see the plane enjoy this plane flying near you to see it and then you know how to control .i flew far away and i can not see it clearly then it is crashed.

Novice here ... This plane is VERY easy to repair. All it takes is some tape and a little patience. The controller that comes with it is a 2.4 Ghz one and very good for a beginner like myself. Once I got used to the controls (need to slightly move the sticks and not be nervous) I was able to sustain a good pattern flight for about 20 mins or so with the supplied battery. This engine is powerful enough that you don't have to be full-throttle while you are flying the plane. I just called Mark @ The Sharper Image for some replacement parts for the plane yesterday and he helped me out. Very knowledgeable on his products. I am still planing to fly with my original wing ( which I broke on the first flight) until I can't do it anymore.
I have not damaged the plane since the 2nd time I used it ... ( I chose not to work on the simulator ... call me old-fashioned) and I have been trying to fly every single day.
Thumbs up for The Sharper Image and their products ... I just bought their P-51 yesterday and can't wait to try it!!!!

This seller Park Flyers is not a good company to trust.I order the cessna 182 Pro Deluxe , but the item arrive and they send to me the cessna 182 500. Is a more expensive plane but its a death Stick.The plane dont have the enough power in the motor. They make you believe its a great upgrade but its really not. Its just more expensive because the size of the plane.I do not recommend anyone to buy from this seller.

Customer service department is rude. My transmitter is bad and they keep telling me to change my batteries. It is unlikely that a person can be unlucky enough to buy bad batteries 4 time at 4 differet stores. Broke the propeller before it ever got off of the ground. This is our first plane - maybe a more experienced person could manage it - not for a beginner.
