Overall, this is a pretty good massager. The heat function is great while using this unit. The only negative comment to make would be that it is not as strong or powerful as other percussion massagers on the market. Even on the highest setting it feels as if you're receiving a very gentle rub. Great for people with sensitive skin or for those who can't handle a powerful deep massage. The extendable handle is a nice feature that helps eliminate over-stretching to massage your entire back while operating the unit on yourself. The 4 heads are a nice plus as well.

The first massager had to be returned. We used it less than 30 seconds when it quit, never to turn on again. The replacement is ok -- gives a pretty decent deep muscle massage for equipment -- but the on/off dial on the handle is loosy goosey and the unit shuts down easily. For the original asking price, not to mention the discounted price, I expected a little more. Since this was a Christmas gift for my significant other, it's been a real downer.

The Sharper Image Percussion Massager was wonderful. But we needed to return because the on/off button quit working. Hopefully they will develope another type of on/off switch. The massager itself worked really great. We would purchase another one if the on/off switch was different.

I compared this massager with one-head massager in Brookstone store and unfortunately found out that 4 heads of this one do not perform the same effect as the one head of Brookstone. I do not know the reason but I would pay twice more for one head instead of having this one for a half price.

Have had better massagers, this one had low power and it took to long to heat up. Would not recomend.

Bought it and return it next day. This massager is Very WEAK ! even at top level still very weak ! Feel like cheap $10 battery operating massager.
I would skip this model and get different one.

I was very disappointed with this product. It was meant to replace a Homedics massager I purchased for the same money a year and a half ago. The Sharper Image massager had half or less the motor power. It was almost like a tickle instead of the deep penetrating massage the item claimed to be.

We are proud to find a Sharper Image MSG-H401 Quad Action Percussion Massager. My wife has Fibromyalgia and arthritis, and her muscles ache all the time. We had a Sharper Image Massager previously to this one, but after using it for years, it quit working, and we didn't know where to get it repaired since Sharper Image closed in our state. The original one was much lighter and easier for her to use, but at least we now have one. Thank you for producing another.

After long years of use, I had to replace my 'Brookstone TheraSpa' massager. I was unable to find it -- not even vía Amazon.com -- . I therefore opted to try what LOOKED to be a similar massager and ordered, through Amazon, the ' Sharper Image MSG-H401 Quad Action Percussion Massager'. It was delivered while I was on an extended overseas trip, but when I tried it upon my return, I was disappointed it did NOT have, BY FAR, the same intensity and power of the 'TheraSpa'. For my needs (intense massage after exercise), it is underperforming (i.e. not powerful enough) and I am in the process of returning this Sharper Image MSG-H401 Quad Action Percussion Massager. Other users may enjoy a feature that the 'TheraSpa' did not have : a "warming" control.. -- but the massage effectiveness of the MSG-H401 is just not there for me.

It consistently dies after 10-15 minutes and won't start up again until it's unplugged and plugged in again.

When it works, it's fine. But only for a short while. Then it sucks, and not in a good way.
