The laptop cart is sturdy and apparently of quality material. The only problem with this table is the center portion where your laptop would sit when you unfold the side panels.
If you have a smaller laptop or netbook then I would say it's perfect, but when you get into the larger notebook computers that are 17 inches and up ... forget about it! Especially if you have a higher end entertainment model or gaming system. The central area is too tight and will hinder access to your optical drive and your usb ports, not to mention it hinders the airflow on the laptops that vent to the side instead of out the back or bottom and have a power connector on the side as well.
Other than those drawbacks it is most definitely a good, sturdy, and compact laptop table. I just can't use it with my Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7270 laptop ... it's just too big for the space provided.
I'll keep shopping around. Maybe I'll just buy a folding table I can store away when not in use.

After spending two weeks looking at many laptop table reviews. I came across this table with only one review. I took a chance and bought it. I am very happy with this table. It is very sturdy. The height is adjustable. My 15 inch Macbook Pro fits inside. With the 'wings' open, I can use them for papers, etc. It did not take me very long to put it together. If you want a sturdy, useful, and easily moveable laptop stand, this is the one to get. It you want to use a laptop table in bed, go somewhere else. I highly recommend this table.

The Sharper Image SIB006-GPH06 Foldable Laptop Table/Cart is just perfect for my needs. It is easy to put together once you figure out how to put the two side tables on. I will try to explain it here as the directions supplied are not very clear on this part of the assembly.
At first glance it appears that the holes are drilled on the wrong side of the table ends, but they are not. What you do is, pop the screws into the pre-drilled holes on the side table pieces and then pop the side rails on to the other end of the screws. Next using the provided philips head screwdriver, tighten the 3 screws on the SIDE of the RAILS to tighten the table base pieces to the side rails.
As noted above, a small phillips head screwdriver is provided, but if you have one, I suggest using a power screwdriver to expedite the assembly.
With the casters off, the legs of the table fit under my couch, and my work space is more than adequate. The entire table/cart swings a full 360 degrees, which is a great feature.
I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop. It sits on a Microsoft laptop cooler base. I uploaded some product pictures and as you can see, there is plenty of room to use my USB ports on both the side and the back. When I collapse the cooling table base and close my laptop, I can close the side tables completely flat.
As always, as an Amazon Prime member, I received this item in two days. Outstanding product and an outstanding price from an outstanding vendor!
