Customer Reviews

They seem to last sufficiently long, so no complaints there.

Nevertheless, although the yellows are very good, the other colors are a bit dark.
Bob Michelson
Great selection for highlighting different sections by color.

I love these because they don't bleed through on any book. My textbooks, my husband's law books, small articles, cheap or expensive paper, these do the trick really well! They come in exactly the colors pictured, so if you're looking for more than one purple, this isn't the pack for you.

To my surprise, the markers I received didn't look like the ones in the product picture. The picture shows markers that have caps and bodies of the same color, but the ones I got had black caps and ends (which makes it a bit hard to find the right color if you only see the cap sticking out of a cup or so).

The color composition, however, is as pictured: 3 yellow 2 each of pink, orange, blue and green, and 1 purple (which is a bit dark for my tastes but gets the job of highlighting text done).

The highlighters themselves work just fine. I've been using them for 6 months and they're still going.

Arrived quickly. Work well. The tip is a little smaller than I would have liked. I prefer the Sharpie Liquid Ink highlighters to these.

Rather than highlight the words so you can easily reference them, these highlighters color the words too dark so it makes it hard to read them. The only exception is the yellow highlighter. All of the other colors are too dark. I much prefer Sanford Pocket Accent highlighters because they highlight nicely and you can easily read the words no matter which color you use. Too bad Amazon doesn't currently sell this brand of highlighter.

The yellow is nice and bright, but I found the rest of the colors rather dark in comparison to my current blue, orange, pink, and green BIC brite liner (T) highlighters:BIC Brite Liner, Assorted Colors (5-Pack). It's a bit disappointing, but I'll live with my mistake for this round. They work fine.

They're wonderful highlighters. A nice set at a great price. They seem to last sufficiently long, so no complaints there. My only complaint with these is that some of the darker color tend to leave a little "pool" of color/ink at the end of a streak (if you're a serious, highlighter-er, you know exactly what I'm talking about.), hence why I docked them a point. Even still, they're the best highlighters I've owned in a long time.

Hint: if you DO have trouble with the darker ones color/ink "pooling" when you first get them, just spend 45 seconds scribbling on a piece of scratch paper the first time you ever use them. It helps to dry them out a tiny bit and prevent the pooling/smearing.

Bottom Line:
Buy them. Nice color selection, great price, great quality. I use them on a daily basis and definitely plan on buying more when they run out.

I'm a college student and I use highlighters because I want to remember specific elements when referencing my textbooks for quizzes, tests, or just trying to remember something that I learned.

I have used Sharpies off and on for a number of years. I've never bought a set for myself. I have noticed that some bleed and some don't. This was the case when I used Sharpies that belonged to other people. I just assumed that the ones that bled were more-or-less "leaky", perhaps defective. I have now come to the conclusion that the ones I used, which did not bleed, must have been low on ink at the time.

The ink comes out super-wet and always bleeds through the page. Yellow is the most tolerable while pink and blue seem to bleed the worst. Its terrible, I turn the page and I can see the colorful lines from the last, which interferes with further highlighting and ends up making the next page look like a colorful mess. Instead of making it easier to flip through the pages and glance at points I want to remember, it makes it harder. Just from touching the pages while reading, writing on the margins and handling the Sharpie's, I end up with smears on the page and on my fingers!

I absolutely hate these things. I usually like most of the products that Sharpie produces, but these are the absolute worst. The ink just flows like water and makes a mess for me every time. I wanted to like these but I'm going to have to find something else. These are just too messy.

These highlighters are normally what we use in our office and we are willing to pay the extra money for the better product. However, to our disappointment we did not receive the highlighters pictured, the ones we really wanted. Instead we received just the regular sharpie highlighters, we did not even get all the colors shown. Even though regular sharpies are good we like the colors and look of the highlighters pictured.
