I agree with the previous review, for some reason I can't stand the fluorescent yellow markers. The problem is, THAT'S ALL the stores seem to carry now.

Whenever I see plain yellow, I grab 2 or more boxes because I know they're so hard to come by!

I've tried over and over again to use the fluorescent yellow markers, but I just don't like them!

I'll be ordering a bunch of these PRONTO!

I have used this highlighter for years. I prefer the yellow over the fluorescent. For some reason neighborhood stores stopped selling this product. I'm glad to be able to purchase it from Amazon. It arrived even sooner than expected. It was exactly what I want and as advertised and quite a reasonable price.

These highlighters are exactly what I needed. I'm a law student and go through highlighters quickly and frequently, and I needed highlighters that would stand out on a page but still be professional (e.g., not pink and purple). Unfortunately, fluorescent yellow highlighters fade on the page and are often difficult to see. Regular yellow highlighters are SO difficult to find and not available in stores! These were exactly what I needed - bold, bright yellow that I can see on the page but in a color that is still professional.

These markers are WAY darker than the ones I usually get, in fact you could almost use them to redact text and keep anyone from reading it. Maybe they're ancient and gone bad or something, but even the outer shell is much darker. Avoid these like the plague and stick to the light yellow ones you grab at WalMart even though this looks like a good price. It's a total waste of my money and I'll never buy another one I don't get locally so returning a dark one isn't a hassle. Could it be a vendor who is unloading old stock? Dunno, just don't waste your money buying em'.

These are the very best yellow highlighters on the market. There are many off-brands, but none can compare to the Sharpie. Unfortunately, Staples no longer carries Sharpers. Their in-house brand of yellow markers are very poor quality.

I have shopped retail stores to try and find this color and cannot find it anywhere. The new florescent yellow highlighters hurt my eyes. I am just so glad I found these!

They're pretty good highlighters.

I don't like the angle of the tip too much tho, it always misses on the page (ie, I miss my line when highlighting, or highlihgt only half the line because half the tip isn't touching the paper)

And oh yea, this is a YELLOW highlighter. Not a fluorescent one, like I thought.

Other than that, it's a pretty good highlighter.

I use these because they are MUCH cheaper than other brands and work just as well. Getting a larger pack, maybe 12 is too many yellow highlighters, but at least 6. I have been busy studying, and highlighting like crazy, that I have caused my highlighter to die (the Bic ones didn't last very long). Having a couple extra highlighters is also good because that person who asks to borrow a highlighter may walk out of class without giving it back or when there's a group assignment and the other members of the group only brought pens, having a few extra to share is a good idea.

I have some other sharpie highlighters that I love (these ones: Sharpie Accent Tank-Style Highlighters, 4 Fluorescent Yellow Highlighters (25164PP)), and I wish I had just bought more of those. I've been very disappointed with these highlighters. They are a very orange-y yellow, and not the traditional pure, bright yellow that I expect from a yellow highlighter. Also, they make the page really wet. Maybe the ink doesn't dry as fast, or it comes out more heavily, or something. I'm not sure what it is, but pages with heavy highlighting from these pens look wrinkled--almost water damaged. I would not buy these again.

I ordered these thinking they would be the same ones featured in the picture. They are much darker (think sunflower yellow crayon color) and don't have smear guard.... oh well
