Customer Reviews

The tip broke the second the ink came out.
Nicole Herrera
Upon following the directions to depress the tip and then shake the pen to mix the paint, the tip disappeared entirely inside where the ink is held!
Megan Alsop
Turns out the first day must have been a fluke.

If you could look at my purchase history you would see that I have ordered A LOT of sharpie paint markers (I have to own well over 20 right now, not including ones that I have used that ran out of ink) mainly for designing and painting projects. When I saw that they made Extra Fine tipped I bought one immediately, however after using it I'm not sure if I will again.

The Pros :
- Fine tipped can be useful for making thin detailed lines

the Cons :
- After pressing the tip down a couple times to get it to absorb more ink it pours out from the entire tip and not just the point (where its supposed to)
- It blobs very easily and unless you're very careful it will drip when you try to get the tip to absorb more ink
- Ink disbursement can be somewhat random, so if you're drawing a line it will not come out then will suddenly have too much come out and may even drip.

I use the Paint Markers on a regular basis and have owned a lot of them pretty much in every color, if the extra fine tipped paint markers worked as they should I would buy a ton of them, however I will continue to use the one I have and hope it doesn't blob and ruin what I'm working on.

I won't be ordering an extra fine tipped one again.

I have been trying to get this pen for a month now, and once I received it (promptly, yes), it broke immediately. Upon following the directions to depress the tip and then shake the pen to mix the paint, the tip disappeared entirely inside where the ink is held!

the perfect pen,
dont last as long as id like, sometimes the tips fray, at times if doing mixed media, other materials will render the tip useless and ull have a 3$ pen that just wont dispense anything.... but... when they work good which in my experience is only 1 in 3 or 4 then theyre amazing, so its worth the buying in bulk to account for the duds, plus local shops never have the extra fine tip

This paint marker are awesome. Does not rub off when handled and small enough to label small items. Shipping was quick and well protected for shipping. I would recommend this for best marker. Just be careful not to get it on what you don't intend to be permanent. A little solvent will remove it after first applied if needed.

I bought this Sharpie extra fine point pen to highlight some Christmas gifts that I was making in my woodworking shop. On the first gift that I used this pen on it failed, I had to make five or six short simple lines, in the prosses of making the lines the whole tip can lose spilling paint on to my template and the wood project I was working on, spoiling the finish on the Christmas gift.Sharpie Poster-Paint Markers extra fine black

This worked great for me as an artist, always happy to see oil paint pens with a fine tip. However, be warned, it is very easy to break the tip of this pen and get ink all over the place, which stains things forever. Haven't been able to get a spot from this pen out of my favorite sweatshirt, but I'm over it.
I used this on a large painting and couldn't have done the painting without it, that being said, when using this pen, be sure to be patient with it. It'll work if you can get over the initial frustration of getting it to leak paint out the tip. Gooood luck

What can you say about Sharpie, the gold standard in permanent markers. I needed this to touch up the peeling controls on my Audi. It worked great.

Make sure to wear gloves as the ink takes time to dry and it is easy to get on you hands.

My marker did not paint smoothly and when I primed it, it leaked all over the place! Very upset :(
