Sharpie Markers

The Sharpie Fine Point marker was the first pen-style permanent marker of its kind to write on most surfaces from cardboard boxes to glass and, of course, paper. Since its inception in 1964, over 200 million markers have been produced… that’s enough for approximately two Sharpie markers per every household in America making it the #1 writing instrument brand in North America.

Today, Sharpie markers are still made with the same high quality ink that you’ve come to rely on and trust but are now available in over 30 unforgettable colors and numerous different tip sizes, making Sharpie the ultimate instrument of personal expression… letting you be heard, putting you at the center of your world, helping you express all the ideas, feelings, moods, and memories you have with absolute conviction and absolute passion. When you start with Sharpie, you never know where you’ll end up. That’s the wonder of creating something. And Sharpie will continue to help you bring out what’s inside yourself and share it with the world.

So uncap a Sharpie permanent marker and let the ideas flow!

These are the pens my son prefers to draw with. There are many available art markers out there but for solid clear color that is permenant and easy to use my son really enjoys the sharpies. For that matter, so do I.
I find the cost very reasonable and I have found that they last longer than the traditional art markers. You do need to be careful as they are permenant and they will not *blend* like general artist markers but if you are using them to outline or fill in large amounts of space with the same color, these are tops in the price range.
I generally use these with a more solid paper to prevent bleed-through to the other side or general bleeding of colors. Not a paper as thick as watercolor paper but a decent drawing paper. These arent the kind of markers I would sketch on newsprint for example.
the new colors they came up with are clear, sharp and eye catching and the nibs are solid. These are a very good pen in the catagory

Mom loved them -- they were very helpful when she started to lose her sight. However, when writing, she would press down on them and by the time the ink was getting faint, the Fine Tip had turned into a Wide Tip.

However, in normal use, I find that the Fine Tip stays Fine for a very very long time -- and the thickness of the stroke can be varied a bit, from Fine to heavy, just by the way the pen is held when using it.

I like this pen because of the crisp black decisive lines it makes -- use it and your message definitely gets seen and/or noticed. I mark my laundry with this too and it seems to hold thru many washes quite well.

The ink lasts a long time, especially if the pen is stored top down -- however, when clipped to a shirt pocket, you might need to add a second cap to the BOTTOM of the pen once the ink starts to get fainter (get the cap from an old Sharpie that you are about to place in the recycle bin) so the pen (now with two caps, one on the bottom, one on the top)can hang upside down in your shirt pocket (this will allow the ink that is at the bottom of the wick, to wick its way back to the top of the pen - and your pen will retain its writing ability much longer). As far as clipping it to a pocket, it WILL stay unless the shirt fabric is very thin -- then you might need to check to make sure it's still there.

I was expecting a pack of Sharpie Fine Point markers of 12-per-pack. I received exactly 1 marker. It's a fraud.

We got these for our 10-year artist who had mostly good things to say about them. She likes the colors - bright and fun - but doesn't like the fact that the colors only show up on white. She says the colors are very close to other Sharpie colors she has but those don't glow under a blacklight. And, as others have noted, these are not thick enough to hide pencil lines if your artist does that as a precursor to a finished product. So if you just need the colors - but not the blacklight option - there are probably better Sharpie options. But these are good and fun.

Sharpies are the bomb. They are great for writing on CDs, stereo equipment, posters, footballs, plaster casts, you name it. Colorfast and waterproof, there is almost no surface they won't write on, other than water itself. Now available in these awesome vibrant colors, too!

It sounds stupid to write a review for a sharpie pen. The good thing about this sharpie is it can pretty much write on any surface. The bad thing is that when you write, it stinks. Also after you use it for some time, the tip is not as precise as it used to, the line you write becomes thicker and thicker.

Do you have an office? Buy these. I could end the review now, but it may be flagged for being too short. I use these whenever my marks on a paper need to stand out. I use them on sell sheets/bids to circle/underline/mark points I want the customer to see. Marking a quote in bold red is very empowering and gives you a sense of exhiliration no matter how many times you do it.
Do you have customers that don't pay bills? If not, you don't have customers. My invoicing software has a nice feature where it prints 'Past Due' when the bill is... past due. I don't like the results it generated (still wasn't paid). I sent one circled in black sharpie- I won't lie, it felt good to circle (and underline a couple times) 'Past Due' in black, but I felt it wasn't my best effort. More could be done. I ordered the red sharpies and deployed them immediately. Circle, underline, underline (work out some of that hostility!) send the bill, see results.
I'm not saying the red sharpie garantees payment of past due invoices (or am I?) but it certainly doesn't hurt, and it makes me feel empowered when I use it. I almost wish for someone else to be past due, so I can draw a frown-face in black, then a slash in red and a couple of vertical dots...
