Customer Reviews

A very nice feel, no bleed thru the paper, and a fine line.

I don't know if this is just me, but seeing as these pens are quite expensive, I think they should at least work for a little while longer than other pens.
Hari Demirev
I like the fine lines and prefer the felt tips over ball point any day.

Folks, this is *not* a marker! Ignore any reviews that complain about how it's not permanent on CDs or plastic.

This is a first class writing utensil. It's excellent for writing on paper and paper-like mediums. Does not bleed at all, and feels good in your hand.

Highly recommended.

I have slowly replaced ALL my pens with these. They don't bleed, rub, or run! I didn't have a problem on the airplane like the other reviewer - luckily. (I also don't stick the lid on the ends, so I don't know about that one either!)

They don't write on plastic - but I have a drawer full of sharpie markers for that! These are wonderful for office work, letters, crossword puzzles, and the print actually shows up!

The ONLY problem that I have is them disappearing! Everyone that uses them steals them!!

Thank you Sharpie!!

As has been raised by one other reviewer, the paint on the barrel flakes off after very little use. It makes me nuts because I love these pens; I use nothing else. But I'm a lawyer who wears a white shirt and tie most of the time so having black flakes all over my hands and clothes makes me nuts. I've taken to wrapping clear packing tape around the barrels of all my Sharpies. Sharpie needs to address this problem, I've seen numerous similar complaints.

I like the idea of the Sharpie Pen--a quick-drying, fine point marker pen that doesn't smudge on your hands. Be careful using them on planes, especially during takeoff, though. The change in air pressure seems to make the ink ooze and drip out of the head quite a bit--and I have a bunch of ink splotches in my notebook to prove it. It was fine during cruising altitude, but I decided to put it away during landing.

Still, it's a fine pen, smooth and consistent.

The Sharpie Fine Point Pen is not only sophisticated to write with but it is also a long lasting, all-purpose, utilitarian writing pen, too. Although it is extra fine tip, I have not had a problem with the tip bending or breaking while I am writing. I have been using the same exact pen for the past year and it still writes beautifully. Definitely worth the price.

These pens are really very nice! The feeling of the pen and consistency of the ink is much more pleasing than most. If you find you have to write something, this is a good way to go.

I love writing with these pens. It is a nice felt tip, very fine lines. The ink dries quickly and it writes easily on even glossy paper without making a huge mess of smeared ink (unless it leaks, see below).

My problems with the pens are that they are not very durable. After only a week or so of use, the cap cracked from being pulled off the back of the pen where it is stored while you're writing. It still worked but was looser than normal. Not long after that the logo and wording on the pen itself started flaking off on my hand, making a big mess. The paint or whatever they used to print the wording on the pen just started flaking off. Then a couple weeks after that the pen leaked from the tip, resulting in ink all over my hands, in the cap, etc.

I wasn't especially rough with the pens or anything, they were in a pen pocket on my sleeve (military uniform).

Like I said I really enjoyed writing with these pens, but I just can't recommend them when they start falling apart in so many ways in such little amount of time. Maybe a new version will fix the falling apart problems, and then I think they will be great pens.

These are my favorite pens! I love the feeling of writing with a felt-tipped pen but they usually bleed on regular office and notebook paper and the lines are too thick to write anything important with. These pens, on the other hand, are perfect because they give you the feel of writing with a felt-tipped pen, or a fine point sharpie, but without the bleeding and messing up the paper. Also great if you do a lot of doodling on regular paper like I do. :) Would recommend to anyone who enjoys writing with a Paper Mate type felt-tipped pen ( Paper Mate 74423 Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Marker Pen, 12 Assorted Brl/Ink Colors, Med, 12/Pk ) but finds them too thick to write with.
