This Sharpie is ideal for those of you on the go. There is no cap to lose, and the tip stays in great shape, even when carried in the pocket, etc. Great for travellers and travelling celebrities with a lot of autographs to sign.

You know the drill.. Look for the 'magic marker', find it finally. Observe its cap has been left on crooked and realize it is dried out. Curse! Well that is less likely to happen with the retractable Sharpie. I have had them for a couple years now and simply clicking on the button really DOES protect the tip from exposure and drying out. Really, most peeps won't appreciate this, but its an amazing invention. (There is a eye-lid type of miniature hinge on the inside barrel of the pen that closes over and encapsulates the wick upon activation). Just as dazzling on the Ultra Fine version. And some may find this almost as daring than bungee jumping- (in true nerd fashion) I have even stuck it in my shirt pocket!

I have bought these retractables in bulk twice now, not from this company and have them in a cup or a purse, open them and they are all dried out. I have never lost a top on the capped ones. I was talked into buying these by a friend that was selling them and got in the habit of it but NO MORE! I have thrown the last totally unused dried out marker away. Don't buy them retractable. Just pay attention to where you put the top. Good grief! What a waste of money.
