This very detailed dissertation on the Berdan Sharpshooters, their favorite weapon, and other similar sharpshooter regiments to a lesser degree, gives the reader some interesting information on this famous regiment that is less well known outside of staunch Civil War enthusiasts. The detail on the Sharps Carbine is almost too detailed for all but that enthusiast - with serial numbering of the various weapons, years of production, etc. An interesting read, though, for the reenactor, Civil War history buff, collector or hobbiest!
