Unfortunately bad,
By sharkmaiden 316 (Saint Louis, MO United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shattered Dreams (Paperback)
This book had a really great premise: woman forced by desperate circumstances to move in with bitter, and disabled, former flame. Unfortunately, Ms. McCann couldn't carry it off. Her writing lacked richness and depth, certain plot points were unclear or never really developed, and I could not relate to any of the characters. From a stylistic standpoint, it was a disaster. While I am always eager to patronize up-and-coming writers, I'll think twice before purchasing another by Sandee McCann.

Disgusting woman,
By Amazon Reviewer (Home) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shattered Dreams (Paperback)
This author is a disgusting woman who abandoned her six young children, saying she was going on a short vacation, never to contact them again. The poor children thought they were dead, while she started her new life (and writes in her biography about how "proud" she is to have had the "courage" (read:cowardice) to start a new life.) What a disgusting, revolting monster.

A fine example of bad writing,
This review is from: Shattered Dreams (Paperback)
Sandee McCann can't write. She should find another line of work. Given that this woman abandoned her six young kids to a life of hardship (they grew up with only one piece of furniture), so she could move to England in a selfish pursuit of fame, I suggest she find work as a garbage collector. She can start by taking all her books to the dump.
