If some how or other you found this album here on Amazon and you are even thinking about getting it - Buy It. These guys were the best garage rock band of the beginning of this decade and Shattered is one of their best songs. If you don't know their story check out their Wiki article. I repeat - Buy This.

Chances are you stumbled across this cd after reading an article about the band, so I'm not going to repeat the sad story for you. This album is a compilation of outtakes and B-Sides from The Exploding Hearts. It's a good intro, but if you want the real experiance buy Guitar Romantic, their only studio album. The real reason to buy this cd is the concert footage on the enhanced portion. It is footage shot from the second last show they played. The last show they ever played was the next night, and later on that night they were in a car accident and killed the lead singer/guitarist, the bass player, and drummer. The quality isn't the greatest, but let's face it, in the absence of any future chances to see these guys in action, crappy footage is better than no footage at all.
Buy this cd, and while your at it buy Guitar Romantic. Two cd's from THE BEST power-pop/punk/garage band this decade ever produced. RIP Exploding Hearts!!!

Throw all that garbage that MTV and AP tries to pass off as legit garage rock...this is the real deal folks. A volatile mix of punk, power pop, and even a dash of country (check out the main riff in "you left me stranded) make this the record of the year. No joke, it doesn't get any better than this. Just like the other guy said, stop thinking about it and buy this CD already.
