Anyone out there who would want to slate this album after listening to it obviously has a very narrow few on music and has made a decission at some point not to enjoy themselves anymore. This is a fantastic album from start to finish (something for everyone). Maybe the style has changed slightly on this there forth album from formaldyhyde (there first album)but there is still no denying that this is TERRORVISION. The say that the are the best band from bradford to begin with a T ! ! !......To be fair they are probably on of the best bands to have come from britain in a long time and are certainly very underated. EMI decided not to give them any more cash and due to this terrorvision started to disapear.........congratulations to the boys for this fine album and i wish youz all the very best in the future.......what ever you do ! !

I hate argue with my compatriot but I think this is great CD from start to finish with the possible exception of Babyface, III Wishes is a good introduction to the album, Hypnotised will have you shouting along with the chorus ( I've got it playing while I type this review), the 2 versions of their UK number 2 Tequila will stick in your head for hours after you stop listening. This is the first Terrorvision CD I have listened to so I can't compare it to their earlier material but I have been playing it whenever I can for the last 2 weeks. I would say this is Englands answer to The Offspring (another great band to listen to loud).

The Terrorvision's sound always been a mix of 70's influences like Kiss, Sweet and a little bit of T.Rex. On their second albun, How To Mak Friends And Influence People, these guys did an marvelous song called "Oblivion", with Beach Boyesque vocals and groove. Their third albun, Regular Urban Survivors, seemed like an 70's Bond film soundtrack and gave us perfect songs like "Perseverence" and "Celebrity Hit List". On this fourth albun, Terrorvision turns its focus to the post punk/new wave sounds, proving that it is possible to a band expand its influences without losses of personality. "Josephine" is a classic Terrorvision song. One of the bests bands of the nineties.

Well, Terrorvision's first eponimous album got the clue: Beach Boys + Beatles + Kiss + Nirvana's guitars. The marvelous "How To Make Friends And Influence People" gave us one of the finest songs (and forgotten by the many) of the last decade, "Oblivion". With Regular Urban Survivors, with songs like "Perseverance" and "Celebrity Hit List" the band opened its influences and now, with this fourth album, these guys show them personal vision of the new wave and late 70's british punk minor bands (like Stranglers). "Josephine" is my favourite song on this albun and this is one of my favourites albuns from the 90's.

Not sure what to make of this. Formerly a 'novelty' hard rock act Terrorvision have taken an interesting turn. Josephine's lyrics about a guy having a sex change belie a fine example of rock, In Your Shoes and On A Mission are as well. Songs like Hypnotise and Day After Day have initial appeal but tend to pale over time, while the opener III Wishes is truly appalling, with no style or invention and the most banal lyrics ever. Vegas features unusual lyrics about a group of people, "one of them in clerical, one of them dramatical and 2 of them incapable people" who "all made a plan to sell their purple camper van, put the lot on 18 red and not to give a damn". Stranger still thsi is played in a slow and sensitive manner. Part of me says this record is terrible, but it has a certain charm and a few tracks are quite neat.
