I was first introduced to "She Changes" a few years ago by a good friend, and I was instantly captivated. The music is entrancing and moving, but it is also very singable -- it's almost impossible not to chant along with the vocals!

The CD contains not only self-composed pieces by Moving Breath, but also some beautiful renditions of traditional favorites. There is something here for the lover of Celtic music as well as Native American inspired tracks and songs from other cultures around the world.

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys good Pagan chants, although the CD is definitely geared toward the Goddess. It makes great meditation music as well.

If you're Pagan, Wiccan, or just groovy with Goddess religion, you have to get this album. The chants are just amazing interpretations of some of the most popular Wiccan chants, all of the women sound absolutely beautiful when they sing together or alone. Especially brilliant on this CD are "She's Been Waiting" "Old and Strong" and a haunting "We all come from the Goddess".
The only thing I wasn't too keen on was lumping the chant "We are the Flow" into a medley that made it sound monotonous. Everything else was just fantastic.

What Angie apparently doesn't realize is that this is not simply "New Age" music like Enya. Certainly, if that is what you're looking for from this album, you will be dissapointed. "She Changes" are a collection of (as Angie puts it, "simple") pagan chants, and are wonderful for centering/grounding, yoga, and meditation. Such cd's are hard to find in the broader pagan community and this one is absolutely lovely! I highly reccomend it if you enjoy chanting or could use a mantra for the activities I listed above, or would like to become familiar with common pagan chants. I do not reccomend it if you are looking for background music like Enya!

I just love this CD! First let me say it's not a "music" CD per se. As one reviewer says the music is very simple. To me, this is the perfect CD to learn some songs, take them to your group and sing at ritual. Many of the songs repeat verse, similar to a chant or mantra. So if you're looking for new age Enya or Lorrena McKennitt, this isn't it. If you're looking for something to to add to your sing alongs, public rituals, etc. this is great! Several of the songs can be sung as rounds too which makes it fun!

I can't recommend this CD highly enough. The collection of chants is truly breathtaking and exhilarating... It totally sets the mood and the lyrics are very inspiring and empowering! The vocals are simply angelic! Hey, amazon offers the option to sample this CD, so stop for a spell and listen ;)) The only reason someone would not enjoy this CD is if they were browsing the wrong category or genre.

My brother recommended this CD to me and I can see why. The chants on it are perfect for meditation, ritual or just for enjoyment. I highly recommend this CD especially if you are into Goddess worship like I am. It's by far my favorite pagan CD.

This is one of the few CDs on my list of must haves for trance, ritual or drumming work. The "Ancient Mother" and "We All Come from the Goddess" tracks are some of the most powerful performances of these "Wiccan standards," as they almost always move me to tears when I hear them.

The "lead" singers voice can only be described by the word "harsh," but this only serves to make this an even more powerful, potent, effective, valuable, moving and useful "working" CD.

For those of you looking for "New Age" music for relaxation, sleeping or bedroom arts, please look elsewhere as this is not the music for you.

I downloaded a couple of cuts from this CD. At that I never heard of them and feel in love with the relaxing music Moveing Breath had to offer

While the other reviews think Moving Breath She Changes is wonderful, I do not. I listen mainly to New Age music and of all my CD's this is my least favorite. This CD seems to be lacking something. The music seems to be very simple and unimaginative. If you are looking for music to inspire and take you to another place don't get this one. The only inspiration I got from this CD was to write a review of how awful this CD was.
