I have renewed admiration for Cynthia Cooper after reading her autobiography. Her book was so interesting I read it all in one day. Cynthia's life story will have appeal to teens and adults. She is an amazing woman and a true role model.

I loved this book! It made me realize how tough some poeple have it in life and all the fears that they have. I admire Cynthia even more, now that I have read her book. It was cool reading about her love life, and all her accomplishments in basketball. It was very interesting to learn where she came from and her experiences in Europe. I recommend this book to every basketball player, or just anyone who wants to read an inspirational story about such a great person, Cynthia Cooper.

Coop is sharing so many facets of her life: her childhood, teenage years, college years, her experiences in Europe, her love life and her love for basketball. Adversity, splendor, tragedy and beauty entwined to make the fabric that is her life. She had to learn many lessons along the way, and now her story can be an inspiration to others. You don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy this book. This is a book about life, and how your choices can lead you to success if you are willing to do the work and have faith in yourself. An easy read - I bought this book one evening after work and read it cover to cover that night. I just refuse to stop reading; I did not want to close the book. Cynthia Cooper - you got game and a whole lot more.

This is a MUST read for any fan of Cooper or just living life to your fullest.
This is a quick read and I could not put it down.
Cooper was a miracle performer on the court and performed miracles off the court as well.
She is simply an inspiration to anyone at an any point in their life.
I have been inspired by her for sure.

Some people may shy away from this book because they think its about basketball. Wrong -- it's about life, about a person who happens to play basketball.

I think every girl should read this book, because it deals with Cooper's issues with self-esteem and confidence, overcoming poverty, and her pursuit of excellence. I also think every mother should read it, because the book shows how effective a role model Cooper's mother was to her. Maybe mothers and daughters should read this book together, and have discussions about it.

This is not an overtly Christian book, but Cooper is a Christian and does not hide her faith. It is not really an evangelistic book, though one can say it is pre-evangelistic.

Cynthia Cooper could be a role model for anyone. She knows how to play the game of life as well as basketball: when to hold, when to fold, and a whole lot more.
What impressed me most? Signed to play in Italy, Cynthia didn't hang around being homesick. She took the opportunity to learn and grow.
My favorite scenes:

(1) New to Italy, she'd never even heard of famous cathedrals that someone asked her about. Later, she could have discussed the architectural history and features -- in Italian.

(2) She asked Ford to give her a marketing internship -- and she felt right at home with the men. I use this example a lot when I talk to parents who are concerned that their daughters are more interested in sports than school.

(3) She takes us behind the scenes of the championship Comets.

Hard to put down, well-written, honest -- the perfect gift for any WNBA fan or any young woman looking to her future, in or out of basketball.

I have been a huge Cynthia Cooper fan from the beginning and a true admirer of her game. I also admire her off the court. I could relate with many of her experiences. Her book is a good motivator and I admire what she overcame and who she has become. This book gave me more insight of Cynthia on and off the court. Cynthia Cooper is indeed a true role model of today and you will enjoy reading about her journey in, "She Got Game".

An awesome book by an awesome player ... better yet, an inspirational story by an inspiring woman ... a must read.

This autobiography is one of the best, if not the best, that I've read. It's amazing how Cynthia Cooper writes her own story to motivate and make readers have more confidence. She's a real example of a true athlete hero, someone that can be a role model to all. Thanks to her and her success in the WNBA, she's given Women's Basketball a new meaning. Her determination and motivation to become successful is admirable. This book is really an inspiration to those who lack self-esteem and self-confidence. I enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it to anyone because is really interesting and inspirational. I'm proud of Cynthia Cooper because she's a real good representative of Women's basketball and a great example of determination and success. She also proved that with God's help, anything is possible.

I enjoy watching Cynthia play in the WNBA. She is a great player.

This book tells you about her hard times that she went through to get where she is today. i thought it was pretty neat when she said that she wanted her whole family to live with her in Houston. Actaully, her mother the most. Her mother died of cancer on February 12. Which is my birthday.

If you like to watch her play you know how good she is. She plays the same way she writes so if you think she is a good player you know She Got Game is a good book.
