5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, the She-Hulk Gets Respect, November 9, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: She-Hulk, Vol. 3: Time Trials (Paperback)
After the lousy plot writing of the original Savage She-Hulk, and the goofy, heavy-handed comedic treatment of Sensational She-Hulk, this series finally gives the Jennifer Walters' character some depth. We begin to understand the things the have driven her to despise her human self and revere her Jade Giantess form to excess. There are still funny moments involved, but they are done on a more realistic level (well, as realistic as a Marvel comic can get, anyway). A must read for every Shulkie fan, and a way for newbies to get a good look at the character.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cosmic Green Justice, January 17, 2011

I am not a regular reader of comics, but after I made a joke about SHe-Hulk at a party, friends of mine who are said I would probably like the new version of Shulkie. She's a snarky young female professional, much like myself, with a lawyerly approach to the world backing up her fists (again, much like myself). I liked the volumes up through this one. When she was later working or SHIELD and as bounty hunter, she seemed more mundane, like any other powerhouse superhero. here, though, the writing was dense, the pace perfect, and the whole read just a lot of fun.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wonky time travel plot and art hold this book back!, May 17, 2010

I've always thought Dan Slott's writing was pretty funny, and here it is as well. However, its not funny enough to entertain throughout. So that leaves Slott's plot which was of the wall in an off the wall book. The time travel craziness wasn't good enough to keep my interest. The art for most of the trade was done by Juan Bobillo and it doesn't quite fit with the character. I've always been one to steer clear from this cartoony style of art and it was just that here. The chapter by Scott Kollins was more to my taste. Overall the book had its funny moments but not enough to recommend.
