This is the first book I've read by the author but I know it won't be that last.

This is the story of a millionaire and what she is willing to do to get back the only woman in her life that 'left her breathless'. I liked Sydney and Rachel and many of the secondary characters. I found that the scenes between the two leads were very well done. Their conversations and interactions seemed natural and true. I also liked Rachel's two daughters very much.

The bad guys were very bad. From Rachel's religiously fanatic mother to her physically abusive husband. And there are another couple of embezzlers that shall remain unnamed. But they are the true enemies of our hero and are a real surprise.

I wish there had been more about what motivated the embezzlers. I wanted to know more about why they did what they did. I also would have liked a bit more about Rachel's history with her parents and how she came to be married to the jerk she married.

I enjoyed the time I spent reading "She Left Me Breathless". I only wish there had been a little more to it. That is the only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five.

Oh and don't let the price fool you. I have read books from authors that price their work higher that aren't as good as this.

Take a chance. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Like her 1st book "Worth Dying For", this is another book from Trin Denise that is worth reading. It is a story of of 2 women who found true love & lost it over a chosen belief, Trin Denise tells the story so well between love & god, the right & wrong between falling in love with same sex vs an abusive hetero relationship, the story telling is believable, you can feel the love & hurts of Sydney's feeling during the course of time. Plenty of laughing out louds moments on other supporting character, the interaction, dialogues between Sydney, Caitlin, Ashley & Karen was well versed and amusing. One example of many LOL scene that cracks me up is how Sydney version of the Salami technique & Karen way of showing how she miss Sydney, the way Trin Denise explains the embezzlement works in details was exqusite, this makes easier for the reader to understand it. Good job Trin, look forward for your upcoming book.

This wasn't horribly written. There weren't a slew of spelling or grammar mistakes and I could follow most of what was happening.

However, that's not enough to warrant a favorable rating from me. I paid for this story and I expected a bit more than what I could have received reading something online for free. The overall conflict of the story (the revenge plot) was talked up a lot, but didn't really have a lot of meat to it. I'm still a little unclear *how* hiring Rachel's daughter two years earlier, and buying out Rachel's company, attributes to this revenge - especially since Sydney didn't fire any of the people in Rachel's company and liked Caitlin and had no plans to hurt her or fire her either.

The transitions between chapters and sections of chapters were pretty flimsy, which made it hard to understand just how much time was passing between scenes. All the subplots involving Jackie, Martin, Meredith, etc. were bits of drama thrown in that were easily resolved. To get even more nitpicky, the public press releases, the way Sydney seemed to run her company, and the situations involving police all rang as unrealistic and fanciful. I had a very hard time suspending disbelief and I read all kinds of crazy stories.

I also felt like the main characters vacillated between hate and love with no real motivation other than to keep the reader reading. And, honestly, by the second half of the story, it wasn't really keeping me reading so much as sliding my finger continuously on the ipod screen as I skimmed the rest of the book.

I thought it wouldn't be as good as the reviews said it was but I was pleasantly surprised that it was as good and more. Loved it!

I enjoyed a lot her previous book 'Worth dying for' (except that's a bit annoying that every single one nice straight character in the book turns to be gay at the end, ¿ is there a problem with straight people ?).

Regarding the precedents and the reviews of the book, I had very high expectations for it, resulting in a huge disappointment when finally reading the book.

There is not romance in this book (and that's what we all were looking for, isn't it ?), those two women never fall in love. There is not flirting, interactions, ... leading to love each other.

There is also the problem of the plot. It's simply idiotic, ¿ how do you expect to take revenge from someone by saving his job, doubling his salary, making his daughter extremely successful, etc. ... ?. ¿ It really took her 15 year to build such stupid revenge plan ?.

And again miss Denise has written a novel where straights characters are mindless true bastards. Way to Go, Miss Denise, congratulations, looks like you are exceeding yourself and in every new book straight people are more and more brutal troglodytes.

Anyway, despite it's huge plot and romance flaws, the book is nicely written and has some interesting action, so a two star rate looks fair to me.
