Product Description

f you mixed Ferris Bueller in a blender with Alvy Singer (Woody Allen in "Annie Hall") and Larry David, the result would be SAM BAUM(Josh Gad). He's a lovable, quirky, neurotic NY native, living in LA with his beautiful girlfriend, Sammy(Kristen Ruhlin). A girl he knows how lucky he is to have in his life, since she was previously married to John: a, tall, fit, gorgeous, extremely successful Harvard med school graduate, who she's remained cordial with. Before Sammy, Sam hasn't had much success, romantically. He's an emerging filmmaker with one feature film under his belt that nobody's heard of. And she's an aspiring actress, inching for her big break, which may never come, unless Sam offers her the female lead in his next project, which he does... the night before one of the hottest, most in demand actresses working today, Kim Powers(Hilary Duff)

Review

I'd definitely recommend. It's a lot of fun! I DO NOT understand IMDb user ratings. This deserves to be much higher! It says that the weighed average is a 7.8 but the score is a lot lower. Very harsh for such a movie that deserves to be seen for a unique yet fun cinematic experience. I was fortunate enough to of had the opportunity to attend the premiere of SHE WANTS ME. The theater was pretty much full and the entire audience laughed out loud at least 15 or so times. I wasn't counted, but I know it was well over 10 times. Most of the humor comes from Josh Gad's character especially when he is dealing with his girlfriend's ex-husband (played by Johnny Messner). Messner has a lot of credits, but was a relative new face to me. He did a good job, but his character did have the best lines, so I guess most of the credit should be given to the scribe. --Imdb

The storyline is very entertaining and full of great hilarious dialogue. The blend of many A-list actors and upcoming new actors works extremely well. I would keep an eye on lead actress, Kristen Ruhlin as she has the Audrey Hepburn look with a very drawing flair about her. The family scene will have you rocking with laughter. Great comedic timing. This director should be a name that will become a familiar household name before long. Definitely a thumbs-up for a weekend flick.

Kristen Ruhlin, the star of this movie opposite Josh Gadd, reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in her looks and talent. I can see her appearing in Vogue and becoming a major figure on the movie scene before too long. I had the pleasure of working with her when she was first starting out and found her a joy to work with; one of the nicest and most considerate people I have ever met. This is another quality she shares with the late Audrey Hepburn: thorough professionalism and an exceptional ability to work well with other people. Like Hepburn, she never wears her ego on her sleeve. In a profession notorious for bad behavior and artificial attitudes, she is a genuine talent who saves all the drama for her on screen performances.

Delightful movie. Johnny Messner as the Doctor was convincing in his role. You never know how the movie is going to end-even though you know how these movies end-until it does.

it was like watching a train wreck - you could see each issue coming, but couldn't get the characters to avoid the obvious mistakes.

Another rom-com from the GoDigital assembly-line. I've seen several movies from this VOD (video-on-demand) company, and at least three of them (yes. THREE.) are almost exactly the same: young screenwriter in L.A. trying to make it big and manage a love-life at the same time. In each of the films, the writer's agent plays a prominent role (usually as an annoying d-bag). I'm sincerely hoping that all these films aren't the work of just one writer, writing the same story over and over again until one of them "hits". That would be pathetic. As it is, it's merely sad that a brace of young male screenwriters are apparently having the same exact problems in their lives -- fickle girlfriends, annoying agents -- and are so unimaginative and so lacking in self-awareness that they think the rest of us are interested. And here's a small point, but it annoys: each of the young screenwriting heroes in these movies are sporting 10-days'-worth of scraggly beard on their jaws. Hipsters, you may take or leave the following advice from an older, experienced man, but rare is the young woman with the equanimity to deal with your fuzz scratching and tickling her delicate skin. Shave it off. Unless you can actually grow a full beard, in which case I've known a few ladies in my time who rather enjoyed the possibilities of properly grown-out fur, so you might be in luck.

Yeah, any topic but the movie at hand, right? By itself, "She Wants Me" is not worth reviewing, except when viewed contextually with the other releases distributed by GoDigital. But to be entirely fair, what sets this one slightly apart are the appearances of B-List celebs like Charlie Sheen and Hilary Duff, along with legitimate character actors like Debra Jo Rupp and Wayne Knight.

This movie is not what I was looking for. Really crass, nudity that's totally not needed. Basically, the clips I saw when I started fast forwarding just made me feel yucky about watching any of it.
