This review is from: Sheathing the Sword: Demilitarization of Japan (Hardcover)
An education on the post war American Occupation of Japan. Things SCAP did right and also wrong. Along with "Typhoon In Tokyo" published in 1954 and "Inside GHQ - The Allied Occupation of Japan and Its Legacy" by Takemae Eiji, published in 2002, the WWII history buff can gain many useful insights into what it must have been like both for the Japanese and the American occupiers.
