Product Description

They've traveled vast distances through space. They've colonized countless star systems. They've forgotten why theyre here. Can you guide the lovable, but soooo stupid, sheep to Mt Mouflon without getting them bashed, boiled, blown up or blow-dried? Confound the pure evilness of Mr Pear and his evil hench-cows! With the shear gameplay you've been craving, you'll be up night after night counting... Sheep! Four breeds of sheep, each with their own distinctive styles and behaviours and aims. They do, however, share the same common trait of stupidity.

Many years ago, the ancestors of today's modern sheep were sent out across the galaxy from the sheep home star system of Ovis Aries. A few of these explorers landed on Earth. Their mission was to pose as stupid peace loving creatures, and study the habitat. However, the sheep on Earth soon forgot about their mission, wallowing in grass and sunshine, and they slowly became domesticated by Man. Now the sheep ancestors have returned to Earth from Ovis, to reclaim their lost flock. To achieve this, without bringing the unwanted attentions of Man, they abducted several Earth inhabitants and supplanted them with the urge to herd, rounding up all the sheep to the fabled Mount Mouflon for the journey home. However, also visiting Earth is the dreaded Mr Pear, he wishes to acquire the alien sheep technologies in order to rule the universe. He has recruited several characters including an assortment of hench cows, who cause many problems for the sheep and their Shepherds along the way. There is a choice of four player characters. Each character has different strengths and weaknesses, but all are essentially evenly matched. 6 Worlds containing 4 levels each. World 7 has just the one level. The Training World has 4 levels, plus 6 bonus levels, makes 35 total.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flashy Graphics, but no more., February 15, 2002

This review is from: Sheep (Mac) (CD-ROM)
I recently tried out Sheep and had a few negative comments to express. Sure, the gameplay is cute and all, but after an hour of trying to keep sheep out of poison, fire, and dancing bazookas, it loses that deco-cute touch. For one, the controls are funky and a bit hard to get accustomed to. For another, the gameplay is strictly herding sheep. Sure, there are four "breeds" of sheep, and four "herders," like BoPeep, a 3D Anime creation, but the different variations prove to be monotonous none the less. If you are looking for an amusing game, this game is fine for a few hours.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sheep was ok......, December 22, 2001

I thought Sheep was an ok game. The graphics are pretty good, but I personally thought that certain games, such as the sims, were better. The largest problem was the glitches. When I play it, my computer, a mac OS 9, either freezes after 15-20 minutes, or crashes. The game itself is fun, but I would not buy it until they make patches for it.
