Product Description

Amazon.co.uk

When Lemmings threw itself at our mercy via the computer screen all of those years ago, it changed the industry. For some reason, the idea of saving the little critters was so compelling that everyone was staying up in the wee hours of the morning to try to save that extra little fellow.

Well, the time has come once again--not with lemmings, however, but with sheep. Playing as one of four characters--Bo Peep, Adam Half Pint, Motley, or Shep--you must control the sheep around various courses to the pen at the end. Sound pretty weird so far? Well, it gets worse.

Apart from the many obstacles to avoid--like the sheep dip, trampolines, and corn sharks--you have four breeds of sheep to be content with, and all of which have their very own traits. Choose from Modern Pastrol, Modern Factoral, Long Wool, and Neo Genetics.

This game shouldn't work, but, like Lemmings, it does.

Sheep confounds the casual gamer; after all, where's the fun in herding sheep into a pen? But, once the woolly jumpers have invaded your screen, there's no turning back. With crazy sheep, even crazier obstacles, and gameplay that'll have you whistling at the screen in a fit of madness, you can't help but keep on coming back for more. --Stuart Miles

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute Game for Relaxed Play! Happy Game with Sheep! :), December 25, 2000

I just purchased this game, and I am satisfied with it! There are 4 sheep herders (a girl, a guy, 2 dogs) and 4 different flocks of sheep each with their own qualities. There is also a play round, practice round, and 2 player round! I thought this game was one of the cutest games! The little sheep are adorable, and the enviroment is well detailed. This game had very good graphics, so there was no problem with that. The only problem that I had was that when you beat a level with one flock of sheep, you have to pick another flock for the next level, not the same one each time. Overall I would highly recommend this game for a fun and funny time! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars A great game! As much fun as Worms Armageddon!, December 7, 2000

I wasn't sure about buying this when I saw the box, but when I read the reviews I thought "what the heck". So I bought it, and I am not in the least bit unhappy. Indeed it is a great strategy game with loads of fun and humour. If you played Worms or Worms Armageddon, it is very similar except that you have to bring your sheep to another spot to be "tranquil" and rescue them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Yeah baby, Hardcore XXX Sheep Action!, December 21, 2000
This review is from: Sheep (Video Game)
Being a kiwi lad I had to get this game. It is a different take on the lemmings idea, one which works well, but needs more depth in this modern era. Great for small doses of humour, but it needed a decent PSX conversion. The bloody brutallity as you sheep stupidly (or even activily) get ground, crushed or squashed manages to be funny, and gives you an empathy with the poor woolly ones. If it had a make-over and facelift it would be a classic, as is it's worth buying 2nd hand or renting for a week.

There are 4 different sheep herders, they are better at being scary/shouting/running/etc; 4 different sheep breeds, with slight differences again, and a load of wacky levels. Also you can play two-player "Sheep Soccer", bizzare indeed... especially when you consider that the most infamous sheep farming countries (Scotland, NZ, Australia) all play rugby?!

Join the herd, BAAA!
