Well written. Easy to understand. Very insightful. Lots of wisdom & comfort to glean from for everyday living as well as in times of end-of-life as some people relate Psalms 23 for. Comforting to know our Good Shepherd cares & loves His sheep & lambs to know where to lead us at all times .... when we TRUST and follow Him and not try to go our own way. Great parallel of sheep behavior & human behavior.

I just borrowed this book from the lenders library. Read it in a few hours and I will say I highlighted most of the book. A lot I've already knew but it was good to hear it again. There was a lot I wasn't aware of. Very good book and I like the way Steve went verse by verse and how we are really just mere little sheep with a great shepherd looking out for us. We are never alone and left defenseless, Amen.

This is a well done study on Psalm 23 that is different from A SHEPHERD LOOKS AT PSALM 23 by Phillip Keller. In SHEEPISH, Steve May uses each verse of Psalm 23 to show an aspect of the Christian walk with Christ (our heavenly Shepherd): contentment, peace, purpose, confidence, abundance and expectation. Simple, yet challenging and encouraging, my husband and I enjoyed this book together.

"The fact is that we are sheep and always will be. We're prone to wander. We sometimes fail and often fret. But there is a loving Shepherd leading you every step of the way" part of closing thoughts from this book. If you've read a Shepherd looks at Psalm 23 by Keller, as I have, you may be slightly frustrated ,as I was, with quite so many quotes being included in this book. Felt a bit like shot cuts were being taken! (hence the 4 not. 5 stars) That said not only was it good to be reminded of Kellers thoughts , the author included lots of practical applications to be used. Overall good job so thanks.
