This pan is very durable, and am quite pleased with the quality workmanship. Is usable for many projects, whether cakes, cookies or other baked goods. Even a rectangular pizza is an added plus.

Near-perfect pan for just about anything!,

Though it isn't quite as beastly as the heavy-duty, 13 gauge 5314 half sheet model by Wear-Ever (Vollrath/Lincoln Foodservice or whatever imprint the company is currently using), the 16 gauge 5220 quarter sheet is the real workhorse of my kitchen.
I love my half sheets but I'm generally only cooking for myself and my wife, and for the two of us this quarter sheet does the job. Even when I'm preparing a larger meal I find myself reaching for two quarter sheets instead of a half most of the time. They're an easier size to clean and also allow me to easily place one pan in the oven after something else has been cooking for awhile so that they're finishing right around the same time. In fact, it's the versatility and convenience of this pan that inspired me to write this review. Since yesterday alone I've used a single quarter sheet to roast maple glazed bacon for breakfast, a variety of root vegetables for lunch, and some pork for dinner. Then I pulled it out of the dish rack at the end of the night to use as a tray for oiling some of my wooden spoons and a small bread board overnight. I honestly think that these things are out of my cupboards more often than they're in them; a sure sign of a well designed tool. When I first purchased this quarter sheet I was worried that the medium gauge would mean a greater possibility of warping, but thus far I haven't had any problems along these lines. I'd imagine the smaller size of this pan balances out the medium gauge and makes up for the large surface areas that would warp without the heavy gauge in the 5314 half sheet. Though I'm pretty rough with mine, all of the damage I've seen so far is cosmetic, meaning that they aren't going to win any beauty contests but they still work perfectly. So if the aesthetics of your cookware is the most important factor in your decision here, don't buy them. However, anybody interested in a good cooking tool should be happy. The pans measure a true external dimension of 9 1/2" x 13" and are a solid inch deep with an internal foot measuring 8 1/4" x 11 3/4". Exactly as it should be with a quarter sheet, the only downside to this is that I have yet to find a manufacturer that makes a grid that will fit inside these dimensions stably. For now I'm using an 8" x 10" rack that slides around a bit more than I'd like, but if anybody out there has any suggestions don't be shy about commenting! The only criticism I can possibly levy against this pan is that it has a closed bead. This may be a trade-off due to the medium gauge, but I really do think that an open bead is necessary for sanitary purposes. I clean these quarter sheets thoroughly, but am always a little disappointed by the little bits of water that sometimes leak from the bead hours after they have been washed if I didn't have an opportunity to oven dry them. Aside from this one small concern, I couldn't be happier with this pan. In a kitchen filled with high end merchandise from companies like All-Clad, Calphalon, J. K. Adams and the like, the equipment that I've bought from a local restaurant supply distributor frequently stands out. And of these, this $12 pan has proven to be an indispensable addition.

I love this pan for small jobs. Used with a Silpat silicone liner, (which cost more than the pan), it's great for baking those refrigerated cookies, six at a time, or refrigerated biscuits. If there are only two people in your household, this pan will get a lot of use.
It's pretty sturdy at 16 gauge. I wish I could find one at 13 gauge, as I'm afraid to use this under the broiler, for fear it may warp. I also wish CIA made a good 1/4 size rack for this little pan to match their highly-rated 1/2 sheet pan rack. I can't seem to find a 1/4 cooling rack to fit this pan properly.

These sheet pans are sturdy. They are exactly the right size for so many jobs in the kitchen. Since they arrived, I have used them for roasting vegetables and making toast in the broiler. In fact I have used them almost every day. A great buy and a perfect tool in the kitchen.

If you bake these pans are the best. I have purchased every trendy cookie sheet. None of them do what these will do for you. I purchased this smaller one for the versitile. These are so worth the investment.

The reason I bought this product is to finally have sturdy, rigid baking sheets that don't go 'bong' as soon as they heat up in the oven. I was a little worried that I couldn't get a thicker gauge on the quarter sheet, but now that I see it I realize it's plenty thick enough for the size. If you're looking for sturdy, this is it.

That's What I Get!,

I ordered the quarter sheet pan from Next Day Gourmet, and about a week later I received my package. Sadly, it contained a half sheet pan ... though it clearly stated on the accompanying order form I had, in fact, ordered the quarter pan! Having read several reviews regarding purchasers of sheet pans from NDG, I found many that complained of this very problem. However, since all the ones I read were from 2007, and many reviews were positive, I thought I'd give it a shot. Obviously, they haven't solved their problems!! I'm in the process of returning the item, and though I trust this will go well, I would not recommend purchasing from this company.
