Joy Behar, actor, writer, and comedian, is currently a co-host of the Emmy Award- winning talk show The View. She is the author of Joy Shtick: or What Is the Existential Vacuum and Does It Come with Attachments?, as well as a monthly column, "Getting Personal," in Good Housekeeping. This is her first book for children. She lives in New York City.

I love this book ! As a dog lover of mixed breeds for 30 years and a purveyor of fresh children's books too,this book is perfect ! The story is charming and the illustrations are whimsical ! Children will apply this story to "bi-peds" (people) too. It is obvious that Joy loves dogs and understands them. Thanks Joy !

I purchased this book as a Christmas present for my nephew as we have a dog just like the one in the story.He just loved it, I think we read it about 5 times that day.Very enjoyable with a theme that will hopefully translate to my nephews interaction with other kids. Although we look different this does not mean we are any less or more superior than others.

I bought this to read to the grandchildren. It would make a great gift as well. I'd guess it is a second grade reading level if bought for a child to read on its own. Creative and colorful pictures to keep the little ones interested if read to.
