Curved handle fits easily in my hand, knife blade is very sharp and stays sharp for very long time even when cutting through cardboard boxes.

Based on the quality of craftsmanship I'm guessing this was made here in America: one of the two screws holding the clip to it was extremely stripped and very difficult to remove. Within a week of regular use one of the screws holding the wood to the other side fell out on its own leaving the moon-shaped piece pivoting around the one remaining screw -- if I didn't have (metric sized!) jeweler's hex tools to remove the other screw I would have had to throw it out as unusable. Finally, the mechanism to release the blade is pretty tight; which I'm okay with for safety reasons, but if your grip isn't as strong you may have trouble.

So while it's a general fail on craftsmanship and some techinical details I'm rating it 3 stars, or "okay", for its general design. Once the clip and the wood are gone it's super slim with only the thumb bolt sticking out the side, which makes it very comfortable to carry in your normal pants pocket. Also the oval shape feels good in your hand both when it's closed and when it's open despite seemingly sharp side angles.

I would buy it again as a spare or an around-the-house knife, but if you are looking for an every-day work tool there are better knifes to be had -- made by the same company even.

I've tried several types of replaceable-blade knives. This is the smallest, lightest and most comfortable I've owned. It is also the easiest to get out of your pocket if you remove the clip (requires a star bit to remove). The standard utility blade is extremely easy to remove and replace. The locking mechanism for the blade keeps the blade very sturdy, and has never pulled out under heavy pressure, unlike other knives I've owned. You should consider purchasing a dispenser of 100 utility blades along with this product.

The photo of the knife does not do justice to its shape when closed, which is an ellipse - no sharp corners. Closed, it is only 3 1/4" long, 1 5/8" wide and 1/4" thick (when clip is removed). As small as it is, the blade surface length is a full 1 1/16" when open, equaling all of my other folding utility knives in my 'bone yard'.

Love the item! Not crazy about the clip on the Bach but it is removable. Fits very nicely in pocket.

I love this knife! It's very sharp for a "box cutter" and folds up like a champ. I use this for cutting all my packages and cutting needs

Extremely pleased with the quality of this folding knife. The form is slim, and clips on to my belt easily, making quick access to the knife. In addition, the knife opens and closes with no problem, and feels comfortable in my hand during use.

My job requires a lot of box cutting and I have gone through several different box cutters and knifes. I found this one and thought, this looks very nice and I have not had any problems with the "Shefield" name so I ordered one. I received it in two days, took it to work and I love it. It latches onto my belt and is very attractive looking. It folds down to close and opens easily, the blades are very easy to change and the best part is that none of the screws have loosened or come out like in other box cutters I have had. I now own two of these. I keep one at work and one for at home for around the house and yard. I also purchased several others to use for presents for my son and several co workers.

Utility knives like this are very handy, but bulky to carry. This knife carries well in either a pocket, or on your belt. When opened, it has a nice ergonomic feel to it. The wood insert makes it a good looking knife, and also more comfortable to use.
