One of Joe Cocker's best and most under-appreciated works. None of the treacle that comes up in his later work, and some smokin' covers - exactly what Cocker does best. As another reviewer noted, his cover of Dylan's "Seven Days" alone is worth the price of admission, but his work on "Many Rivers to Cross" is excellent also. While I am a fan of Steve Winwood, Cocker's cover of "Talking back to the Night" overwhelms Winwood's original. Rest of the album more than carries its weight - nothing sinks to the level of filler that unfortunately appears on many of Cocker's albums.

This release never got the attention it deserved. But if you like Cocker, you will really like this one. Classic voice with great back up band and vocals. The song " seven days' is worth the price alone. If you missed out on this Cocker release, pick it up!!

If you love Joe Cocker, you can't go wrong with Sheffield Steel CD. I am very satified with my purchase of this CD and the service from Amazon.com

When looking for this CD, I wasn't having too much luck at stores. But when checking online, I found it quickly. It was fantastic to listen to. And it was in perfect condition. I could not be more pleased with this CD.
