my set came as a bonus along with a tool bag. all three came with its own nice nylon sheath. the brass parts have fine scratches on them due to manufacturing process not handling fault i suppose. the multitool resembles the Winchester Big Wood Tool in every way but lighter, probably made by the same factory. pliers and cutters are strong with little flexing. tools don't lock and are sometimes hard to get to with short nails which is typical with these cheaper multitools. quality is no match with Leatherman or Gerber but similar to Winchester. folding knife feels solid and strong. spring in the scissors on the swiss army like folding tool is a little sticky and many implements are too stiff to pull out but they do feel solid with minimum flexing. if you take price into consideration, i rate this set as a good buy. if you want a very good multitool without paying the Leatherman or Gerber price, check out Winchester Winframe at your local Walmart. this is a very nicely and strongly built tool made in China approaching Gerber quality for less than $15 if you don't mind that individual tools don't lock.

Unlike the sets purchased by some other reviewers, mine show no signs of use or wear. They're not Gerber quality, but what do you expect for the price? All the tools seem usable, and they look good. Handy to have in the toolbox or glove compartment.

I have to agree with one reviewer that the placement of the smaller tools in the multi-tool handle makes it hard to open them up. Also, the brass inset on the screwdriver handle isn't quite flush, making a slight edge that could be uncomfortable under hard use.

Considering I got this set along with the screwdriver/utility knife set for $15, it's a pretty good deal.

My set just arrived today and I was surprised to find it scratched, dirty, and slightly bent with fingerprints all over it. It also has either blood or oil in one crevice! It came in a box. vs. the plastic blister pack shown on the manufacturers web site so I suspect this is a returned item that was represented as new to both me and Amazon. Also, there were NO instructions at all on how to use the tools. Although I know most of the functions having owned Swiss Army Knives, there are some tools in this that stump me. Additionally, the tools themselves are either dull or sharp, I find both contained within this set. The lockback knife looks like it's been run over. If you are planning on purchasing this as a gift set for someone, (as I did for my husband) be careful and remember, Amazon.com will take back returns. I will wait to see if he wants to return it before I make a decision.

When I recieved my 3 piece Multi- function tool set, I was extremely surprised at the quality, look and feel of the tools. In all honesty my expectations were not that high because the price was so low. Compared with other similar tools such as Leatherman, Gerber etc. But much to my surprise the tools exceeded my expectations and they are well constructed, with brass handles and hardwood covers on all three tools in the set.

I am sure that I will get out of these tools what I paid -- and more. I liked it so much I also purchased the Sheffield lockback knife(WH58009)which is also a great knife at a great price!

I ordered these tools a few weeks ago without reading the reviews very carefully. I intended to give them as a gift. Bad idea. As others have described, each of the tools in the set is either scratched, greasy or just worn down. Quality seems decent, not great - about what i expected for the low price. (The unlocking mechanism of the knife is rather clumsy.)

I am disappointed enough that i will return these - tool that look secondhand are not a good gift.

The set I received had very noticeable scratches on the brass and the wood finish was dull in several places. The pivoting mechanisms are definitely lubricated with grease (it is black and does stain your fingers.) Overall not very satisfied with the product, although I would not mind paying a few dollars more if the quality was assured.

I ordered this "tool" so that I could have it with me in the car for emergencies and unexpected fix its. When I received it, I was immediately disappointed. The wood and metal did not fit together at the seams, the metal was obviously poor in quality. It looked like it was left out in the rain for a few weeks. Maybe I just got the worst one, but it looked like it was just poorly made with poor quality materials. Don't waste your time or money on this item.

Good stuff for 12 bucks but sizes too big to fit in a pocket!

I'm thinking the vast majority of these sets were stored loose somewhere, and hauled out, oiled/greased, and roughly boxed. The set I got are pretty scuffed, and the crevices are gummed with what I expect is oil applied to dusty/dirty surfaces. My multi-tool had some fingerprints, as well. However, the blades are in decent shape, and it doesn't look like the tools were actually USED, just kind of scruffy.

Like everyone else, I got them in a package deal, and together it's a bargain. However, if I'd bought them at full price and/or intended them as a gift, I would be pretty upset.

The tools themselves are decent, and have good heft from the wood. They're not top of the line, but they're better than "Winchester" or other low-end brands.

A screaming deal for the above-minimum quality, in the package deal anyway.

However I have to give two stars for the sheer fact of selling used or semi-damaged items as new, ESPECIALLY items that are really intended as gifts much of the time.

Though as some have stated its not Gerber or Leatherman, of course its not, its got brass and wood insets! The other guys make just "surgical steel" tools, and pretty much nothing else. The fact this set came w/another purchase for free made it too good to pass up! The quality is really very good, even for $10-$15 bucks, the multi-tool is worth the money. All the tools in this set come w/their own case to wear on your belt or whatever. I've got soo many multi-knives, I'll probably give that one away, but keep the Multi-Tool for sure. Only beef, not the tool, just wish "they" would stop advertising it as "free" with purchase, when they don't have any more in stock, been a week, you'd think they would take it off by now. Only available thru other retailers now.
